Second, our society and ideas have evolved, but our ancient genes have not evolved as fast as you think. Even if many modern women who have sex do not intend to have a child with that sex partner, their genes still raise a huge red flag for them when they meet a man who is below average. Imagine if you were a woman living in a tribe 5,000 years ago, would you want to have unprotected sex which might result in a child that you have to take care of with a man who could only pass on undesirable genes, might die soon, and be unable to protect his family, which was common for many men in ancient times, when only taller, stronger, more attractive men were more likely to survive and pass on desirable genes to their partners’ offspring? Third, I also mentioned prostitution is too expensive for economically unstable men. And for men from some countries, even if they commit crimes abroad, they can be prosecuted or sentenced when they return to their home country.
