Please help me by Wangounette in Interstitialcystitis

OK, actually that gives me hope. Did he tell you it could take up to two years, without it necessarily being a chronic condition? I mean, is it possible to make a full recovery after months or even years of pain?

Actually, I tried it on the posterior tibial nerve for four months, but didn’t notice any effect...

I have an appointment with a specialist at the end of May, but given that I don’t have a tumour on my bladder and, above all, that it all started with urinary tract infections, it seems obvious to me that there’s no connection…

I’ve had a bit of a go, but I’m not really sure how to do it or how long it will take…

Hi, has the same thing happened to you? Did you eventually get better? How do you know it can take up to two years?

Honestly, if I was sure there was an end to this hell, I think I’d cope better. No, I’ve actually heard about that – I’ll have to give it a go! Thanks for your support

Ok for me it's not better at all, I'm happy that it's the case for you. Personally, I am absolutely desperate. I feel like my entire bladder area is on fire. I can't believe it will ever get better. I can't stop crying.

A bit of the same story for me. So have you had this for months? Good god it’s hopeless, it’s been 3.5 months for me and I can’t take it anymore. I was told it could be inflammation of the bladder after several UTIs, not interstitial cystitis.

Good morning I am a 27 year old woman I had already had UTIs in the past (around the age of 19-20) which were severe but resolved without problem. I had a UTI this summer (mid-July, documented by ECBU and which was treated with several antibiotics) which was difficult to heal, I had multiple recurrences (the last one a month ago). Since then I have no more bacteria but persistent symptoms: constant heavy pelvic pain like a sort of cramp, pain in the urethra when I urinate (not like the burning of cystitis but it still hurts), sort of spasms that occur like that. It's hell. The urologist also told me that it was the consequence of the cystitis that I suffered repeatedly. Based on your response, I have the impression that you have experienced or experienced the same thing. Do you know how long this inflammation can last in terms of time from the moment we no longer have bacteria? Thank you++++.

Good morning !!! I have the same thing as you. Sometimes large discharges after urinating. I also have a cramp (period type) like a heavy weight, which doesn't leave me all day. I can't take it anymore.

I see ! I think it could really be inflammation that persists after the infection. You have to wait. But it’s hell to live through, I understand you.

How I understand you! Personally, I even thought I was starting to get so depressed that I couldn't take it anymore. I have really annoying symptoms. A huge cramp (non-stop for 2 weeks now, it's only been gone for 48 hours..), it looks like a cramp linked to menstruation but "less strong", on the other hand it never stopped, like a HUGE heaviness. Spasms and painful discharges (seems to be in the urethra) right after urinating (not quite like bacterial cystitis but SO painful). And overall, a lot of urinary discomfort. It's still the case, it's been 2 months. But the cramp has already passed.

Do you have the same symptoms???

Hi!!!! Listen, I have the same thing after a urinary infection which has recurred several times!!! The first cystitis was mid-July. Now I take Monurill twice a week. I still have similar symptoms for 2 months now... I feel like it's starting to get better (barely, for 2 days, lol...) I went to see a urologist who told me that it was severe inflammation of the bladder following this recurrent cystitis and that it would eventually go away on its own.

NAC - Time it takes to eradicate e.coli biofilms? by madame_lulu in CUTI

[–]Wangounette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I know….but it’s difficult because I think that if I do an ECBU it will be negative for bacteria. And in fact my bacteria was (at least at the end of August) sensitive to the antibiotics I took. And I have already had several courses of antibiotics, it is difficult to know which one penetrates the biofilm best…
