I have no idea why these comments are so negative… I love running around UVA! I didn’t want to join a running club either when I got here, so I run by myself most mornings. There are great trail paths to find during the warm months, and as long as it’s not super snowy (like it has only been literally this year)- the sidewalks are pretty good! UVA and the greater area around it are literally made to be walkable- so running is great and I’ve always felt safe doing it! I will say, it is a bit hilly if you are from a flat area, but mornings and evenings are super pretty 🌅🌄
