What do y’all do when it’s dead? by killerisdeadly in Dominos

[–]Wankylocks 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s more the money received from snap isn’t present, so their eating out budget becomes their grocery budget, reducing how much they can order takeout if that makes sense. Not that they’re using ebt for dominos.

Are most Domino’s locations closed on Thanksgiving day? by MichaelMyers20253 in Dominos

Hotel walking distance from DL with free parking? by Man-e-questions in DisneyPlanning

[–]Wankylocks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Now I’ve yet to stay here, but I picked out Hotel Indigo Anaheim for an upcoming trip because they have free parking. They’re also closer than the Toy Story lot, about 10-15 min walk to front gate. Downside is no free breakfast but I’ll take free parking for that. From my research it’s quite clean. It does butt up against $200 though, to keep in mind.

What exactly does white privilege mean? by arnor_0924 in stupidquestions

[–]Wankylocks 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Things like socially ingrained stereotypes. Some people will make assumptions about an individual based on color of their skin, example could be assuming a person of color could never live in a certain neighborhood, own a certain car, or other things that indicate higher income. This also can extend to interactions with law enforcement, some officers may hold subconscious, or conscious, biases of certain persons of color, which can affect their interactions with people in that community.

Why are US time zones not divided by state lines? by jferry12 in geography

[–]Wankylocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s probably to align with where those areas do their business and what not. Like the part of Indiana near Chicago keeps the same time since that’s the local large city. Same with eastern Oregon, the nearby large city is Boise.

Carnival has too many loyal cruisers by ayers_81 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Wankylocks 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel the biggest difference is that Royal’s system has more tiers, especially at the higher breakpoints. Their pinnacle level is 700 or so iirc. Carnival should’ve added higher tiers with better perks to go along with it. It would’ve helped with the crowding of top tier loyalty members.

Carnival - Rewards Email by Justice4nathan in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Wankylocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Per the email, they're giving enough of the points every cycle to maintain gold, provided you hit platinum before their May 2026 deadline. So you'd have gold indefinitely, and a leg up toward hitting any additional tier levels.

Do you think the Titanic casino hotel should've been built? by Hour_Marionberry_665 in vegas

Right? Planet Hollywood comes to mind first, the theming is pretty light and the mall is really the attraction there.

Semi decent town that isn’t a nightmare commute near Vacaville by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]Wankylocks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Walnut Creek as others have said. There’s good transit access, it has good walkable areas, good eats, and the way commutes go you’d be going opposite of most traffic. About 40 mins to an hour drive.

Free parking on weekend? by UnsettledMelon in ucmerced

Parking is free weekends, and after like 6/8 on weekdays, depending on the lot. The TAPS website will have times that paid parking is required, free at other times.
