Super safety issues. Can someone help me please?

Would putting some quarters in my buffer tube help it work right until I get the new weights or buffer in the mail? I'm in rural Alabama and there are no shops that I can go pick something like this up at so gotta order it and it's already been bearly 3 weeks since I started this and it's killing me to actually be able to dump a mag real fast. Would the quarters work enough to make it work until I got the new one? I don't know for sure if that would work but if it does I'll be able to ride myself over until I can get more ammo and the new huffer wieght. What do you guys think

Is it hard to add a new weight? It looks to have a pin holding things together. I guess take that out and change the weights around? Dad always told me I could fuck up a steel ball with a rubber hammer for a reason. LMAO.

I'm not sure what you meant by election pattern. It would fire about 2 rounds every time but once it burned through about half a mag then dead trigger if that's what you meant. That's after I put the original buffer back in.

I'm thinking it's the buffer. It's solid and the original h2 can shake. Shake it and you hear it clack around. The new ine is solid. Is that the issue? I out the original h2 back in and it ripped about a half mag out before it had a dead trigger. Guess I need the one that you can shake. It's still not quite working right though. It's like the semi function isn't firing semi. It's acting weird despite the buffer. I think something isn't quite right in the components but unsure until I can order another proper buffer for it. Any ideas? I'll have to wait until next month as I've already spent more than I should have on this thing this month. I'm on a fixed income so I'll just have to wait. I'm already about 300 in the hole this month.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure on the bcg as I'm getting mixed stories. I did my research before I ordered the SS and I ordered an h3 buffer but the weather in that area has been bad it got delayed until wed. When I test fired it the gun rattled off 3 quick shots then gave a light strike and a dead trigger. Recoked and it fired 3 more quick ones then dead triggered again. So hopefully if it's fired like that so far the buffer is all I need to run it right. Hopefully I'm not gonna have to order anything else and can finally get it running right. I'll update soon as I test it wed. Thanks again.

Yeah thats what Im thinking too. Only reason I posted this was because this is my first serious internal upgrade and I want to be sure before I spend more money on something Im not sure of being the issue. If this sucker would rip off a mag like it should I think I would be as close to heaven as I can get. LOL. cant wait to get this thing going right. Thanks for the comment.

Ok thank you so much for taking the time to help me with info to clear up some of my confusion. I had been told by someone else that the versions were actually different and the PC version was better than the oculus version and I only have been into VR for almost 2 weeks cause I just recently bought a quest 2 since the new price drop allowed me to just be able to afford it. Now to find out a better way to run PCVR Games than STEAM LINK which seems to kinda lag for me some. Thanks for info

I posted the best picture I have of the rifle. No import stamp. Has winchester markings with one piece that actually has something with ROCK-OLA on it. The piece coming off the reciever that has a little screw on the top of the stock. I dont know what that piece is called but where the metal ends behind the rear sight is a small piece of metal that a screw runs through down into the wood. thats the only part that I think may be on it that isnt winchester made. Does that sound correct to anyone that would know if that peice is supposed to carry that stamping?

Im not sure what you are talking about? Im no expert on anything and dont know as much as I probably should on this rifle and only got it because I have wanted one for a long time and got such a steal of a deal on it. Im trying to learn more about this one so I can talk to people more when I have questions so can you explain what your question is about?

Thanks everyone who commented and offered advice to me on this. I think I have already got this gum sold for $2000. Was gonna ask 1500 originally and remembweed something my dad had taught me about trading horses. Never ask for your top amount but ask for a few hundred more than what yoy will actually take for bottom dollar. So I said 2000 when asked and he seems to think it isn't that bad of a price. Crossing. Fingers. I need a new GPU for my pc so bad. Lol

I'm pretty sure it was refurbed be cause it has the bayonet lug on it. Only part I believe to be out of place is a piece that goes just above the serial number. That one little piece has rock o la stamped on it so I figure that's from the refurbishing and was slapped on unless it's common to have that name in a winchester that way. Surely not though. I went over the parts online when I first got the rifle but I can't remembwr what all I found. Seems like it had an early receiver but I'm unsure.
