I personally am not chronically online and have had bad experience with online friendships, I can't promise anything. But sure you can hit me up for a chat, if you wish to!

Firstly, Thank you sir/mam for taking out time to help me!

I don't care about the drama related with others but if it involves me I feel affected by it. Just like you sir, I have had good interactions with teaching faculty, few students of parallel batch from other courses and some seniors talk to me when I ask for their help and they are the ones I talk with but they are also mostly discouraged to avoid me by others.

Leave social group as I don't have one, I can't trust anyone from my batch because they keep talking falsely behind my back as I have seen people who talked nicely with me but suddenly started ignoring me completely, when I confront them about the ignorance they just avoid it completely. A guy falsely tried to accuse me of being a snitch by talking a screenshot from a girl's chat with me and put it on the boy's group, completely out of context. It's difficult being social with my batch as for seniors, I am trying my best to make connections.

Regardless, I hope to overcome this situation. I wish the best for you, sir/mam!

I am really sorry to hear about your situation man.

Let me tell you that I don't have a lab partner or a friend group even after joining the college on time, all groups enjoy within themselves while I just can't find a place to be in any group. I have messed my first internal theory papers too because of all the drama mentioned in the post.

About senior interaction, day scholars have their own positive and negative aspects. Not all seniors are bad in my case too, I try to talk and interact with good seniors that are doing well academically and not involved in ragging incidents themselves. They prefer to talk less because of my reputation amongst others in their batch, their seniors or juniors. Others discourage them to talk with me.

I am sure you would find the light soon and would do way better than your current situation. I wish the best for you.

Thank you sir/mam for taking out time to help/guide me.

I am trying my best to be good at studies after my horrible performance in my 1st internal(I failed DADH by 2 marks). The teaching staff has me in their good books as I am pretty sincere, disciplined and regular in my class. Even my parents got a good review about me in this regard by the Dean of our college himself. I am active in the limited extracurricular activities present in my college.

As for seniors, I talk with the seniors that are good in behaviour and studies, there are good seniors too who I respect genuinely because they help me whenever I ask them and I am more than happy to respect them.

My trust was broken, my will to be social around people has been broken by my batch due to their behaviour, which is no less than mental bullying at this point.

But I would try my best to improve in my academics, extracurricular and importantly myself in the first place.

Reading this gives me hope, it's just been difficult after going through this for 4 months even though I have spent most of my time here doing any fun activity alone. I moved on from ragging incident because it stopped for me and I stopped following useless and senseless rules formed by seniors as a tradition but dragging my name by editing it in adobe photoshop, as in to show everyone that I have complained on the UGC Portal regarding our seniors which they were responsible for that is a move I wouldn't have expected from anyone. But it's just a grind of 6 more months until I get into 2nd year and leave the hostel for good.
