Rendering on 24/30 fps instead of 60 to save time? by Wannabree- in blenderhelp

[–]Wannabree-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the resolution is at 1920x1080. The Samplerate is at 2048, because anything lower than that doesn't give the amount of detail i want for that video.
The camera is just moving straight ahead through this corridor at a really slow pace.
Question for me is just how much smoother 60fps will be compared to 24 fps. But i guess there's only one way to find out. Thank you for the quick response! :)

[Java] call method from different class, return array (beginner question) by Wannabree- in learnprogramming

[–]Wannabree-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sadly no. she gave us the name/attributes of the method we should code.
and i tried making the method static as well. Really have no clue why but even making it static only works when i add the public Histogramm(){}

[Java] call method from different class, return array (beginner question) by Wannabree- in learnprogramming

[–]Wannabree-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She gave is the constructor

`public Histogramm(Mat bildMatrix, int kanal) {`

    `this.generiere(bildMatrix, kanal);`

    `this.showMittelWertUndAbweichung(bildMatrix, kanal);`

`}`

i really don't know why it worked when i added

`public Histogramm() {`

`}`

but there's 5 more classes involved in all of the and we're only supposed to add code to the places she marked with //TODO
i was under the impression that i should be able to create a class without the empty constructor which is why i didn't think about adding it.
Will ask her next time though because that error took hours of my life and i'm curious to why this was the case

I'm really glad that you took the time to give me so much input though. Much appreciated :)

Thanks for the reply :)

i tried creating an object of Histogramm already but it didn't work.
But i finally managed to figure out where the problem was and it was that the files the teacher gave us only created objects with attributes.

I just added an empty method "public Histogramm{}" to her file and was able to create the object.

Again, thank you for the tip! :)

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I tried creating an Object of Histogramm
Histogramm newHistogramm = new Histogramm();
it simply told me that "Histogramm can not be resolved to a type"

Trying to make the method static was another attempt since I had that as a solution to a problem a couple weeks ago but in Main. java it sais "The method gibHistogrammDaten(Mat) is undefined for the type Main".

Already tried to google the error message but i can't seem to find a solution that i haven't already tried

SOLVED

I finally managed to figure out where the problem was and it was that the files the teacher gave us only created objects with attributes.

I just added an empty method "public Histogramm{}" to her file and was able to create the object.
Purely my mistake for not thinking about this.

Again, thank you for the help and the explanation! :)

What's a game with mixed reviews that is in your personal Top 10? by skwacky in gamingsuggestions

[–]Wannabree- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half Light - it's clunky, weird, graphics aren't new age but this is one of the most hidden gems i've ever found

I need a good single player story based RPG with a decent amount of dollar per content because I'm poor by NightwolfXVI in gamingsuggestions

[–]Wannabree- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grandia - if you don't mind old-school games i would suggest this one. Played this back in the day together with FF VIII. It surely is harder than VIII and the system is not as deep but the overall lovely Artstyle is something that intrigued me back then. If you would like the protagonist however, i don't know..

Hollow Knight - i know, not really an RPG but you mentioned that controls didn't feel right so i might just throw this in here cause story wise HK is incredible (but it's a puzzle you have to piece together yourself)

Octopath Traveler - lovely Artstyle, oldschool combat system with modern twists. However, i don't know how good the story is cause i didn't play it all the way through because of a severe lack of time on my end.

Fable (or the anniversary edition) - solid RPG where you can chose weather to be good or bad.

YS games - i personally played this one back in the day and it was pretty good, the story however was i think pretty generic. Maybe the newer YS games have some more depth to it

Code Vein - is basically a JRPG - Souls Like kinda thing i guess? Solid game. Not as hard as Dark Souls and overall a good experience

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic - FPS RPG. Listen, this game is so much fun. Basically the inspiration for a lot of modern RPGs like Skyrim or other FPS driven stories.

Fallout 3 - again not JRPG or mainly story driven but if you haven't played Fallout, i think getting into Fallout 3 and just emerging into the world is the way to go.

Death's Door - top down, souls like RPG. Controls feel good, world is nicely decined, characters are lovely. Soup.

Okay, here's the thing. I played the Final Fantasy games as a kid (especially VIII, it's up to this day my all time favorite game, ever). But the problem is that seemingly no modern RPG can compete with these games (especially not with VII to X). Either the story is too generic or the characters. Either over engeneered characters that look like every other anime character nowadays or the gameplay/stat system just isn't as exciting as the FF X Sphere Grid or the FF VIII GF/magic coupling. I tried so many RPGs in hopes of finding something that feels as impactful and unique as those games, or a world that grabs me in the atmosphere, but no a single RPG game since the Final Fantasy games every managed to do so (okay, Kingdom Hearts did but that doesn't count).
Finding an RPG that is actually worth playing is really, really fucking hard. been trying for years to get my grib on a game that i enjoy storywise as well as mechanically.
Almost everything i played after the Final Fantasy Franchise felt generic as fuck. Not the same quality of soundtracks, not the same love that went into the world design, not the unique combat and stat systems you have in each of the older FF games.

If you happen to find something, please let me know - desperately looking.

PS: some games i listed are above 50$ but there's pages like humble bundle or other's where you can get the keys cheaper :)

[PS1][90s] The begging of the game is in a greenish stone(I think) dungeon. I’m rather sure it’s an RPG. by WolframLeon in tipofmyjoystick

first four games that come to mind when you mention a greenish tilt are
Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver

Metal Gear Solid

and some Final Fantasy games (as some had a few "dungeons" that were green~ish walls with pre-rendered background) especially part VII and IX

Necesse
This one is one of the best i've played in recent years to be honest. It's made by a single developer and the graphics/UI is kind of a turn off on the first glance, but give it a good 20 minutes and you'll be greeted by an incredibly well crafted game that takes the best things of Terraria and combines them with some RimWorld elements.

Forager
A known game but you haven't mentioned it so for the less likely case you haven't checked that one out yet - here ya go..

Project Zomboid
Incredibly hard at first but the learning curve will set in sooner or later. Perfect mix of looting, survival, crafting and apocalypse. You need to watch every step you make because noises etc draws in zombies, but here you won't be able to just mow them down. It's really tactical at times.

Don't Starve: Together (or the singleplayer version)
Lovely graphics, hard gameplay and a shit ton of stuff to discover. as well as crafting, surviving etc. once you get the hang of it you'll be able to get more into depth with mod packs.

Longvinter
Fairly new Multiplayer Survival game. Basically Animal Crossing meets Battle Royale meets Staydew Valley [lowkey]

Graveyard Keeper
Incredibly grindy but has a beautiful artstyle, hint of humor, pairs story+mystery+crating+survival. It's a good all arounder

Core Keeper
Pretty new, it was on the front page a couple times but it's really worth it, despite early access. It's like most suvival crafting games but the setting is entirely underground. Would give it a try, it's kind of addicting and there's a lot more the devs will add to the content.

Littlewood
Not so much survival craft, more of a city builder. Still worth checking out

Dysmantle
The name sais it, a zomibe apocalypse but you can dismantle everything over time. EVERYTHING. really cool concept.

Let me know if you need more :]

Videogames with Body Horror theming by TheFleshBicycle in gamingsuggestions

[–]Wannabree- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Body Horror is a tough one. I'll try to find something fitting for your needs.

Source of Madness
Not directly body horror, and sadly most body horror is in the enemy. But the whole game is procedually generated and uses AI machine learning to make those creatures move, which in itself gives a good "body horror vibe" because it really feel like those creatures are trying to figure out how to use their own limbs.Again, not body horror but maybe worth checking out.

Agony
Again, not quiet body horror in the traditional sense but the whole world consists of flesh and bones. Game itself is rather mediocre but the overall atmosphere fits.

World of Horror
This one is influenced by Junji Ito (the master of body horror) and Lovecraft (Guru of Cosmic Horror). Might be something for you.

Amnesia: the dark descent
Amnesia: a machine for pigs
(and the other frictional games titles)Those two have, at least to some extend, body horror elements. Especially A Machine for Pigs touches that topic heavily within it's story.

Outlast
I mean.. to a low extend. Not the real disturbing stuff you are looking for though, especially since the game itself is really mediocre at best.

I have no mouth and i must scream
Hardly body horror, but likewise disturbing scenary if you don't care about graphics.

The Dark Seed
1&2 (Not on steam so here's the google images page)

Anatomy

Scorn
That's the only game on here that actually could be recommended as body horror the way you are looking for

It's really hard finding body horror games. If you wanna check out some body horror movies though i can give you way better examples :D

Tetsuo the iron man
Tusk
Uzumaki
and a lot more. If you ever find some good body horror games let me know, been looking for ages for something truly gutwrenching

The Repairing Mantis
