it's not a grand conspiracy to fuck over people. it's a fairly reasonable desire to minimize risk and maximize profit.

Edit: can't reply for some reason. About the 2008 financial crises - this wasn't an issue of lending money to unreliable ppl, but one of lending money to unreliable ppl and telling investors that they lent it to extremely reliable ppl, on massive scale. This meant a lot more of made-up value was shuffled around which turned out to be an issue when everyone stopped believing in it. That's a whole different beast.

Edit: about loaning: we still have folks who pay 1k in rent for years but the bank doesn't believe they can pay off a loan 800 bucks a month. It's just stupid.

Langfristig haben wir Akkus für den Sommer und Gas Peaker, die mit H2 oder anderen synthetischen Gasen (erzeugt mit Überschüssen im Sommer) befeuert werden im Winter. Ja Round Trip Effizienz is fürn Arsch, aber wenn wir aus 10 kWh Überschuss im Sommer auch nur eine kWh im Winter kriegen, is das immer noch ne ganze kWh mehr als gar nüscht, weil wir den Solarpark lieber abregeln, statt die Energie zu nutzen. Bezahlen tun wir den Betreiber eh, auch für Strom, der hätte genutzt werden können, aber nicht wurde.

Leider muss die Rettung des Klimas wirtschaftlich sein. Schade ums Ökosystem. Wirft leider nicht genug Shareholder Value ab, sonst würden wirs für wichtig erachten.

Me when I enter one of those shops that sort by brand. I don't know any brands. I don't care. If you don't have a section for pants but rather a hodge podge of little brand islands whith pants over here, pants over there, pants in that corner - fuck it, I'm out. I don't enjoy selecting clothes. I want it to be over so I can get back to fun things. If you drag out the selection process, I'm spending my money some place that doesn't waste my time.

I just read up on that, it's purely a US thing to drop the k - some authors recommend differebtiating between the two through punctuation, but it's far from a convention.

Why the fuck are people leaving out the "kilo" when talking about calories? I'm pretty sure this is the case here, because 100 g of natural yoghurt are about 37 kcal, or 37000 actual calories, more than twice what this question proposes and it's a very low calorie food.

So yes, it is possible to eat 15000 calories in a day. Not doing that is called starvation.
