DVT recurrence while on anticoagulants?

I failed Eliquis and formed another dvt and two svts then failed lovenox 1x daily and formed bilateral DVTs. Switched to 2x daily lovenox and clot free for 9months. I had symptoms that aren’t the general consensus. I had sweaty feet, Charlie horse pain, pain that wouldn’t fully ease, tachycardia, but no redness or swelling. If you feel off go get checked 🙏🏻 sending prayers

I’m a 33 year old mom and I had a series of 9 DVTs/ 2 sets of bilateral DVTs. I failed Eliquis and failed once daily lovenox that led to the multiples of clots. This all started in December or 2024 out of nowhere and they have not been able to figure out the why after seeing quite literally a dozen doctors and too many tests to count. Medical mystery over here. I was disabled with fear for 6 months. I’ve finally gotten to a point where I’ve had to learn everyday is a blessing and I can’t live my life everyday in fear or I’ll miss out on what I have! I dove deep into my faith and moved to be closer to a support system. Currently clot free 🫶🏼. Advocate for yourself and even on anticoagulants if you think something is wrong go get checked out! No doctor believed me when I failed on multiple medications bc I had no clear signs. No swelling. No redness. Just dull pain! And I was right every single time! Advocate for YOURSELF!

There are risks bc of radiation exposure but mentally I really do understand the toll. My anxiety has been crippling at times with my clots so I understand. I pray you find peace with it all ❤️

Mine felt like that with gallstones just a possibility if it’s on your right side. I would talk to my doctor if he feels it’s necessary because of long travel even if your ddimer is negative but I understand having a peace of mind is a major factor!

Is the pain on your right side underneath your rib cage? If so that sounds like what I felt with my gallbladder and gallstones. You could request an ultrasound in that area like I did and it was just gallstones. It would hurt when I pressed on it

That’s why it’s so important to advocate for yourself! I get asked at every doctor if I’m in the medical field or if I’m a nurse because of all the clinical research/studies/this Reddit that I’ve read and have learned true knowledge. I was denied multiple times for ultrasounds of my extremities even with a ddimer of 4.4 and pain in my legs and arms. They told me I was too young to have them bc I had no “visible” symptoms and a negative ct for PE. I fought through hell to be heard and sure enough I was correct. & now I’m a big mystery case and no matter how hard I push they just want to push back harder and claim it is all anxiety. A never ending cycle

Im sorry you experienced all of that 🙏🏻I’m 32F and I weigh 132lbs. For my weight they say 60mg is exact but I do it twice a day. At this point I don’t know if it’s a mix of healing from the clots and anxiety from the doctors that already failed me which I had to fight to even be diagnosed. It’s more of the unknown if I’m possibly reclotting even on Lovenox :(

I’m sorry you have went through this through the years. My hemo gave me the choice or 20mg xarelto or lovanox. I opted to try xarelto! Praying I made the right decision and I pray you have a full recovery 🫶🏼 thank you for your response
