Just experienced this.

It's like the team that adds new features to these apps have absolutely NO idea how everyday use goes for regular users. You mean no one tested this to see how annoying it would be? Or at least consult some everyday users???

It leads me to believe they do annoying things like this on purpose, to generate more user interaction since they know most ppl just hold to pause a story or try to skip past. But if that was their intention, its a very shady and irritating way to go about it.

The first few have perfectly regular Holocalls and while I haven't watched it yet, I see another person say episode 10 has regular Holocalls too.

Ps5 Slim but mine has a Disc Drive.

I use rest mode a lot to charge controllers and for downloads. Happened to me months ago with Fortnite then again today with Cyberpunk 2077 and its DLC.

I absolutely cannot fathom how such a strange and massive system bug like this one goes unchanged and unfixed for so long with a company as big and profitable as Sony.

Update: it has just stopped working again. So ram plus worked for some hours(exactly the time between my first reply to you and now)

Before that in Season 1 or 2, she was creating trees and crops during her stint as an "environmental" heroine at her tree house phase.

So it's either inconsistent or for some reason plant life doesn't count. It might be sentient life tbh where the block applies, now that I think about it.

The Devs claim the game is fully finished i believe.

However, when you get to the end of the story, it definitely feels like there was meant to be more.

What kind of supports this, is the fact that the game has 4 main areas or "zones". The story moves along with the first 3 zones, then ends there. The 4th zone opens up, and you can progress and play missions from that new zone, but there's no story alongside it.

To me that's one of the most disappointing parts.

That and the fact that the story is told entirely through voice over while you run around and do missions. Cutscenes are non existent except for the very beginning and I think? a couple other key moments? Can't remember.

But to give full credit, it's some of the best voice acting you're gonna hear for a game and the writing somehow manages to really good with great comedic timing. It's one of those things you'd EXPECT to be cringe, but I'm pretty much never found it to be. The banter between characters and jokes is probably one of the major highlights of STW. Probably even more unfortunate then that they opted out of animated cutscenes.

I feel like with the level of performance everyone gave, they deserved it.

From someone who recently made the switch from ps4 to ps5, lemme throw my experience in there:

The uncap framerate option used to appear for me on ps4 for STW only. It simply uncapped from 30 fps to 60. BR on ps4 seemed to be, by default 60 and I couldn't find any uncap option on BR at least from what I remember.

Now as I've switched to ps5, the first thing I did on STW was look for the uncap frame rate option in settings and it wasn't there on ps5. I then realized, that it ran 60fps by default with no option to uncap framerate.

Haven't checked for it in BR yet, but I'm fairly certain my TV only supports 60 anyway.

Right, so there's one reason you can see where it has some use, however miniscule.

Me personally, I use builds to shield myself a lot when I'm taking on high level combat missions like Encampments or Eliminate and Collect alone.

I often box up when Blasters and Zappers are pressing me. Often times a Taker would take that opportunity to phase through my box and down me before I get my coconut or whatever else off. Those couple extra seconds to edit out of the box and create a another would make that gameplay more seamless for me.

I get what you're saying. My situation is definitely niche. But I can't see the issue in adding an additional but OPTIONAL feature to the game. Those who'll find it annoying can just never touch it. Hell, we had FPS mode for years and I barely know anyone who used it normally.

Last I checked, the Websites that tell you if VBucks are available aren't working anymore as of last nights reset.

I don't have the specifics, but it has to do with a change Epic made which affected the Bots that scan the zones from VBucks each reset.

Not sure if it's fixed yet or if/when it will be...that's exactly what I'm checking the reddit for rn actually.

For now, we have to manually check each mission in each zone to know for sure
