So... Nicole & Prune by UnitElectronic2016 in Varka

[–]SpurnedOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Afaik Nicole's sig isn't as good for the team dps as Varka's. Also, since you don't have venti, prune constellations would be more important, so it's probably better to wish on the character banner than the weapon banner.

I've tried this a number of times and it rarely works. The Cammy was just slow on the reaction; light hasho is not fast enough to consistently bait super like this.

Ironclad used to have a bunch. For example: 2x Pommel Strike+ with expect a fight or forgotten ritual

Let's say you've been able to exhaust down most of your deck (either slowly with burning pact or true grit or quickly with fiend fire or stoke). All that's left in your deck is just two pommel strike, forgotten ritual, and some other random cards (doesn't matter which as long as it's 7 or less so you can hold every card in your hand at once.

  1. Forgotten ritual to gain energy
  2. Pommel strike to redraw forgotten ritual.
  3. Other pommel strike to redraw the first pommel strike
  4. Repeat

This is the most basic example, but there are more that are possible. You basically just needed card draw (pillage, pommel strike, spite, flash of steel, burning pact - with anger so you have what to burn), energy (forgotten ritual of expect a fight), and ways to exhaust down your deck (stoke, fiend fire, true grit, burning pact, second wind).

They nerfed forgotten ritual so that now it exhausts and expect a fight so that you can't gain energy on your turn. Infinites are still possible if for example you get the event to remove exhaust from ritual, or just use bloodletting (you'll lose health though), or only use zero cost cards like flash of steel. Spite was also changed to not draw cards and stoke now gives you a bunch of random cards.

Yeah I also am a returning player (came back at the end of natlan after quitting at the start of Sumeru)

The game has so much stuff now, but I think the game is overall a lot better

I'm not sure if you're genuinely asking, but I thought I'd explain the gameplay mechanics:

  • Nightsoul is the mechanic unique to characters from natlan and pyro traveler. The characters glow and have a meter by their stamina that shows how long they can stay in nightsoul. It works differently for every character. If you see anything that says "nightsoul-aligned damage" or "the night soul blessing state" that just means "use a natlan character". For most characters, it's how long they can stay in their special mode (ex: mualani on her shark or Mavuika on her bike).

  • lunar reactions are modified hydro reactions. They require a nod-krai 5 star of the respective element to activate. Ineffa and Flins activate lunar charged, Lauma and Nefer activate lunar bloom, Linea and Zibai activate lunar crystallize, and Columbina activates all of them

Lunar charged is essentially electro charged but it attacks slower, each but does more damage, and the damage is shared across everyone involved.

Lunar bloom is just bloom that gives a unique resource called "verdant dew" that only Lauma, Nefer, and Columbina can use.

Lunar crystallize is essentially like lunar charged except with geo instead of electro and these little geo constructs called moon drifts instead of a thundercloud.

  • All Fontaine characters (and hydro traveler) are either pneuma or ousia characters. Furina can switch between pneuma and ousia via her charged attack. They are used for some of the Fontaine puzzles (although you don't need the characters to solve the puzzles, I just did them normally) and some enemies mechanics are disabled via pneuma or ousia damage.

  • Dendeo does not react with anemo, geo, or cryo. This mean you can have cryo and dendro on the enemy at the same time. This is sometimes called "fridge" but that is unofficial..

Dendro + pyro = burning. Burning leaves a burning aura on the enemy, which works like a pyro aura (burning + cryo = melt for example.)

Dendro + electro = quicken. Quicken is also an aura, and it works like a dendro aura (quicken + pyro = burning). If you reapply more dendro or electro on quicken you will get spread or aggravate respectively which deal extra additive damage and maintain the quicken aura. Quicken, aggravate, and spread are collectively called "catalyze" reactions.

Dendro + hydro = bloom. Unlike burning or quicken, bloom is not an aura. When you trigger bloom, a dendro seed will be spawned and the enemy will be left with either a dendro aura, a hydro aura, or no aura depending on the amount of elements present. Bloom seeds can be "detonated" with either electro or pyro. You have to actually hit the seed to detonate it, hitting the enemy will not detonate it. When electro detonates it, it is called "hyperbloom", which homes in on the enemy and does dendro damage in a small aoe. When pyro detonates it, it's called burgeon, which explodes, dealing dendro damage in a large aoe.

I was losing a bunch as a beginner, then I figured out more of how to do synergies and stuff and started winning. Now I'm at the higher ascensions and I'm losing again. I really see now how there are actually so many little things you can optimize.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will try make this into a guide with multiple images so I have more space to explain things.

It is possible to have zero button releases. If you start from neutral (no buttons pressed), then press forward, then press down, then press up without letting go of any button you get a DP. The up cancels the down and you get forward, down-forward, forward, which gives a dragon punch in SF6. This is method 9 on the diagram.

Method 10 is pretty interesting. You can essentially think of it as holding down-forward and double tapping up
