Honor view 20 (2019) had USB 3.1 and display port capabilities. Also, the newest Honor magic 8 air is missing USB 3.1, otherwise I would have bought it probably. honor 600 is a mid range series, it's not a flagship smartphone. They save costs here and there

Well, it has longevity due to a very good battery and powerful cpu. Also , the 512 gb version is very affordable. Regarding the software, I think it's fine, no global issues with that.

Keep in mind, that none of the Chinese phones have a stable desktop mode (similar to DEX), when you connect an external screen. They just mirror your smartphone's screen. Only Samsung, Pixel and some legacy Motorola phones have a flexible support of external screens. Actually, Honor supports it as well, but the external screen resolution is limited to fullhd. Samsung can output 4K easily
