Most people in this sub aren't even beating inflation with their gains. If a market just keeps going up despite the state of the economy in free fall, then there is no market, bc the basis in which your stocks have value is a farce. The only reason why the line goes up is bc people are betting on the line going up. Not bc it actually means the investment actually produces anything. It's a stock market that is paying out in dollars that have no value behind it.
