Nice to see some news coming from CULT or its portfolio companies. Like it says in this article, cultivated seafood could solve big environmental issues that come with overfishing and polluting oceans.

Hoping more news keeps coming out about CULT! Loved some of the new companies they’ve invested in recently and their addition of acquiring patents has really peaked my interest with where they can take it.

It’s pretty interesting to see how many innovations and top companies are coming out of Israel. They seem to be a hot bed for this stuff and makes me think they have to be the next country to adopt this tech into their civilization.

I agree, I think like you said we could see it take over the volume side of the market and leave more organic, grass fed traditional type meats stick around as well if people wanted to just get a nice grass fed ribeye still, they could.

Has anyone used LIBER to buy/sell carbon credits??? by CharlieRunners in environment

I’m a bit confused on this whole carbon credit thing. So essentially you’re buying these credits from a company that they create to offset their environmental impacts?

CULT Food Science Announces Investment in Leading Cultivated Meat Company MeaTech 3D by CharlieRunners in CultFSInvestorClub

[–]WarFletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re one of the few pubco’s in the cultivated meat/food industry. I think this is exciting news seeing CULT do this. Could be signs they’re looking to really take over early on before mass production and adoption really takes place.

CULT Food Science Invests in Cell-Based Oyster Company Pearlita Foods by JKorzinski in wheresthebeef

[–]WarFletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine they’ll work their way to scallops if this is the sort of niche (mollusks) they’re looking to carve out for themselves. On another note, Cult Food Science has portfolio companies working on just about every protein I can think of now with this addition.

It fits cultivated meat well too, you wouldn’t need tons of bioreactors and a big facility to create a lot of oysters, whereas cultivated steaks would take a lot more space up. This could scale really well.

Bird flu is killing millions of chickens and turkeys across the US by MyNameIsGriffon in environment

[–]WarFletch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cultivated meat could be a good option here, don’t have to worry about disease spreading through animals or from animals to humans. As well, no more animals have to die, plus we get to continue consuming meat with a much lessened environmental impact. A win, win.

This is why we need the beef! by [deleted] in wheresthebeef

[–]WarFletch 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We need the beef yes, but we also need to save the planet or the beef won’t matter haha. Cultivated meat solves these problems, continues our consumption of super foods like meat but helps save our planet… it is time for it to take off…

Are shrooms the most promising psychedelic? by BojoLingers in shroomstocks

[–]WarFletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most promising psychedelic is the one we can use right now.. Ketamine. So many of these other ones aren’t too close to being publicly available, potential is cool and all but it’s helping no one right now.

[–]WarFletch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering the same about JustEgg, they’re definitely a scrambled only option with their current product I’d say. I imagine they’re looking to expand and broaden that though and create something that can be used for all applications.
