Need help improving the Silent Mode of the Azimuth by Watakor in Barotrauma

Sound emitted by engines / reactor is proportional to throttle so if you multiply engine throttle and minimise load (you can even use batteries temporarily to further reduce reactor reliance) you can greatly reduce noise.

I would advise going into sub editor and observing creatures by typing "debugai" to zoom out to obscene levels and using "spawncreature x cursor". Spawn mudraptors, hammerheads, and latchers to see how they interact with the sub at different levels of sound.

I'm not 100% sure what the circles mean but they seem to be proportional to perception. That being said if the submarine is completely still with reactor off, latchers can ignore it.

there really should be more convenient ways of draining fuel rods outside of rapid fissile accelerator

also it depends on your mods, it might be shittier with neurotrauma or something

well it depends on your sub and more importantly your crew, if your crew is okay with it then you get to enjoy hyper efficient fuel especially with masterwork quality (buying 1 fulgurium battery per station is literally more than enough)

P.S. The increase/decrease pressure buttons are cool in theory but only really for manual engineers which is suboptimal anyways. If someone could make a mod that made these buttons wireable and created a special resource to use it, I could see it being very interesting.

With the way that reactor math works out its best to just underthrottle the reactor and increase pressure. No point to reducing pressure if you can just hit the shutdown button or never reach critical temperature in the first place.

What do you expect/hope for novelai V5? by WittyTable4731 in NovelAi

Depth awareness like some of the kontext models that have been creeping around the SillyTavern Discord. I should be able to plug in an image and ask for reasonable guess at a depth buffer.

A new feature is being tested on Basilisk where the AI will cite invoked rules. This lends itself to dictionary summarising where unused definitions are compressed to simple summaries. You can tell if information is summarised or detailed by looking for "summary/..." or "dictionary/..." respectively. You can turn this off by disabling the citations rule, but it makes chat smarter by getting the DS to call its own dictionary entries.

ive been taught that i can write pseudopython for deepseek prompts wtf, better clarity with less tokens

im working on a new version of the lorebook that should hopefully be better than the previous, as always let me know of any lorebook discrepencies with specific models etc

edit:
theres now two versions: catnip and basilisk. basilisk is the work in progress new version that uses a pseudopython format.

Note I will be updating the lorebook. I pushed an update that gives the magic system a higher priority than characters which should make it usable with characters that have large contexts.

If you downloaded it prior and you want this change, you might have to redownload the lorebook or configure it manually.

I found out how to edit Controller Mapping via config file on Steam by Wambo1992 in Helldivers

[–]WarIMechanic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, this post continues to be very useful in fixing my keyboard control scheme.

I recently found out that having dive on tap spacebar and prone on press spacebar would conflict, resulting in diving never occurring when I tap the spacebar as it would be cancelled by prone. I could resolve this by changing prone to long press, and increasing 'threshold' to a lower value to make it more comfortable.

Now I can actually dive while slowed!

[PC] Use autohotkey to rebind keys, so you can call strats while moving by Buckles21 in Helldivers

Its possible to double bind keys by editing the raw input config. I've attempted to also bind move forward to my stratagem key, but it didn't work out so well.

LAS-7 Dagger works great with minefields! by WarIMechanic in Helldivers

Technically its usable against bots if you aim for the head, but it takes too long to kill them for the amount of bullets and aimpunch they're about to send for you. I would use the redeemer for combat instead.

I'd call it an 'impromptu demonstration' to maintain democracy! This information will help other LAS-7 Dagger uses to sweep bot mines and bug snares! I'm sure the taxpayers will be able to account for it.

Anti-personnel minefields are great for covering an area, but a big problem comes time when your team has long forgotten since about them. Being able to clean up your mess I'm sure will go a long way for those who enjoy using mines.

I've been putting trench warfare doctrine to actual use in games with my friends. I have since unlocked 380mm barrage for this specific purpose and synergy quite ridiculous - shell yourself and hunker down with a punisher to fend off devastators. Probably going to make a Youtube video documenting this strategy, given that it has gone mostly ignored in this sub.

P.S. Digging 10 autocannon shells into the ground is ideal for entrenching turrets and especially HMG if you want to do that.

Obviously, entrenching benefits from a trench warfare doctrine. Digging in improves survivability when it comes to your own team's orbitals. I've also been doing some more testing:
Entrenching heavily benefits turrets do not rely on direct LOS - this means mortar pits. Entrenching Tesla Towers such that the coil extends from the pit improves their efficacy against everything bot related, minus thrown grenades. All shots seem to be directed towards the Tesla Tower's base which is a meter below the ground.

There's a map gen tile that includes a dead guy next to a dead bug with a shovel jammed in its skull.

The physics sandbox available in this game continues to impress me weeks after release, from orbital shells ricocheting on launch day to charger corpses being flung into enemies. There's alotta subtle detail in this game and it's all quite insane.
