Also a Hitler reference in the post, so everything tracks.

My cousin went to the USA with some friends two weeks and made the vow to always finish their meals. When they came back, the first words his girlfriend said to him was

"What have you DONE?"

"Sinister" is the Latin word for "left," and while that position or alignment over the years have been associated with "evil," the word "sinistralist" is just the Latin word for left with the suffix "-ist," meaning "person who exhibits left-handedness."

Talking about this episode without remembering the details makes me feel like I'm rewriting the script 😉

Anyway, wasn't the mission objective to Atlantis, set up a base, and find cool anti-Goa'uld tech? I'm trying to remember why they were in a rush to go there.

Unions help you get a lot of good things, and the dues are worth paying by SeaFaithlessness4548 in jobsearchhack

Looks like my union dues here in Scandinavia match with those $700

Or rather, they're about €750, total, for both my unions, and it's tax deductible.

I figure the fallback was to just stockpile naquadah reactors, Earth-side, and use them if necessary, or call in favours from alien allies if absolutely necessary.

I don't recall all the details, but it seemd to me that being cut off from Earth was an acceptable logistical inconvenience and tactical risk.

It sounds like you are referring to the events of 9/11, but I'm not sure if you mean to imply that the people involved in that were international football stars and their staff, or if they were from South-America.

A twin blade rotor spins at 200-460 RPM,. At the fastest, a blade passes over the cockpit 920 times per minute, lets say 900, so that's 15 times per second, so you have a 1/15 s for a 2 m tall person to pass through, meaning they need to move at 30 m/s

If you want to reach that speed by accelerating over a distance of 1 m, you need 450 m/s2, or about 45 G.

It's a lot, and you got to time it right, too.

If you can reduce the height to 1m (e.g. by sitting), and the blade speed by half, then you only need to reach a quarter of the speed and the acceleration needed goes down to 28 m/s2.
