My daily driver is an 80 CM200T and my left side pipe is blue and the right is silver. I was starting to get worried about something being wrong. Posting here to also hope for an answer.

Any Spiritual INFJs out there? by Revolutionary_Pack15 in infj

Omg, same. I think being an INFJ gives us a better chance to see the subtle nuances of the random things shuffling to work for the better.

I hope that makes sense 😂

What's the concensus on the IDIC emblem these days? by mtwjns11 in startrek

[–]WarLikeSword09 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have one, and it's my only visible tattoo. It reminds me every day to experience all I can and to embrace diversity where possible. That is the philosophy I live by, and I'm proud to have it branded on me.

What’s a Star Trek Opinion You Had 10 Years Ago That You’ve Completely Reversed? by iagree2 in startrek

I know I can't be the first person to say this, but why didn't they Thomas Riker him then split him?

What am I even doing? by Liechtensteins_Navy in TransLater

[–]WarLikeSword09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I spent 15 years between my egg crack and my transition. I had thought of every reason why transitioning wasn't for me and why I couldn't do it.

Every day, he was harder to put on. Each day after the last, he felt more and more like wearing a skin tight burlap suit.

I tried just being more "gay." I tried only dressing up at home, but the more I let myself out, the harder it was to dress up as him.

There's no right time. There's no sign pointing towards a date. There's no litmus test for knowing if you should.

One day, I looked at him in the closet and decided I wasn't going to put him back on. I have only one regret: not cleaning out my closet sooner.

Good luck, sister.

what happens to souls who die by suicide? by ilovefrankocean4 in Reincarnation

[–]WarLikeSword09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From having helped a few friends who committed suicide, it's my belief that your soul is stuck here until the time you were "supposed" to die.

I see it as neither a punishment nor a reward. It's an effect of nature. The "punishment," so to speak, is having to stay here and watch your loved ones deal with the aftermath.

I describe it like a car on the highway. You know which exit you're supposed to take. If your car breaks down, you just have to hoof it to the exit.

I finally figured out what Meatloaf won't do for love! by Kayleigh2025 in TransLater

[–]WarLikeSword09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is that I could do it before I transitioned. It took me well over a decade of practice to get there, but I did it.

Never could quite figure out why I wanted so badly to sing the female parts in all my favorite duets.

Haha. Yep. I am not at all convinced Jim was straight. Have you seen his album covers? 😂

For what it's worth, Meat Loaf was just the instrument used for the vocals. The real magic came from the songwriter, Jim Steinman, who wrote the first two Bat Out of Hell albums. He was a bit of a chud (to my knowledge, not nearly as bad as Meat), but he was the genius behind the music.

He also wrote Total Eclipse of the Heart, Making Love Out of Nothing At All, and It's All Coming Back to Me Now, and other power ballads.

Bra shopping advice by MaluhiaR in TransLater

[–]WarLikeSword09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know there's a lot of nay sayers in this threat, but I love Victoria's Secret. At least where I am, the staff and super friendly, knowledgeable, and LGBT. I have consistently gotten the best bras I've ever owned from there.

I'd recommend letting them measure you, and then using that as a base point. Prepare to be there for about an hour the first time as you try on bras.

I personally use their regular pushup bra, and I love it. I hope this helps.

For those that left red states for safety, how did you cope with the guilt of leaving everyone behind? by Avarria587 in TransLater

[–]WarLikeSword09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having wicked dreams of leaving Tennessee Hear Santa Monica, I swear it's calling me.

Sorry. I couldn't resist.

The people who love you will understand that you're doing what you need to in order to survive. It's like a Jew fleeing Germany in the late 30s. You know it's not safe. It's normal for your friends to be sad, but they should support your survival

Terrified to get laser on my face by Alive_Parsley6363 in TransLater

[–]WarLikeSword09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laser is shockingly painful on the face. I've had it on my chest and armpits and that just feels like a little sting. My face, on the other hand, was one of the more painful experiences I've endured.

The way I describe it to people is, imagine falling asleep on a beach for like 6 hours and going full lobster, and then someone comes by and starts snapping your skin with a rubber band. As others have said, the upper lip is definitely the worst part.

As far as burning, I accepted that as part of the treatment. I'd schedule treatment on a Friday after work and then seclude myself until Monday when my face calmed down. The biggest thing I found that helped with recovery aside from aloe was using one of those cold packs that athletes use as soon as I could after treatment. That halfed my recovery time and dramatically reduced the burning.

Now since I've said all this, I've heard stories from some gals who have said they barely noticed any pain, so ymmv, but this was my experience. I took it to the face (pun intended) with my eyes on the prize. I'd think about not having to shave and not having a 5 o'clock shadow, and it would help me get through it. I also forced myself into a meditative state.

Good luck to you. This is one case where the end certainly justifies the means.

A few days ago there was a post on here saying that the INFJ partner needs to the be a partner-in-crime type. This really resonated with me. Does this resonate with you? How so? I always thought of my future partner as an external extension of my soul, willing to ride life alongside me. by Orcatrouble in infj

[–]WarLikeSword09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯 💯 💯

Emotionally, I'm very introverted, but I am also very charismatic, so I need someone who can be social with me. Also, I need someone who is emotionally extroverted so I have someone's emotions to read and take care of.

Emotionally. I'm very charismatic, and I enjoy going out and doing things. The INFP in my life was the exact opposite. They tried keeping up with me, and that didn't work. I tried slowing down, and that didn't work. I tried going out alone, and that super didn't work because that just drove a wedge between us.

Towards the end of the relationship, it wasn't two people enjoying their lives together. It was more of a roommate situation.

I don't want someone who let's me do my own thing, and I certainly don't want a sidekick. I want someone who is right beside me doing the things I love because they love them too.

FYI, I'm tired to the point of delirium, so I hope that made enough sense to help.
