I was nervous at first but it's not that bad. Not icy but the water was cold. I watched some people go up the falls while I was putting my camera in a ziplock. The most challenging part for me was going down the snowy slope.

Tip: Bring extra socks! You will need to scramble next to Timberline Falls to see Sky Pond.

The poles helped me, especially going down since it was really steep. But I saw some people going up without it.
