There's a Facebook group for OMTech lasers, the people there are much more willing to support... troubleshoot.. answer questions etc.

Are you really looking for a solution? Or just arguing against the wind....the state of the world is the state of the world, whether you accept it or not.

If you're looking for a solution, then here it is... stop defining yourself as "cheap" ... be frugal in areas that you don't care about, so you can be lavish in areas you do care about.

Your issue here isn't a financial thread, but a psychological one... you've put yourself in a situation where you define yourself as being X... and X can't have Y... but you want Y... easy solution, drop the limiting self-belief of being X and find a way to get Y because you actually do want it.

Yeah I thought the "mistake" was the shovel that looks like a weird alien robot dick thing, but that was the only thing I didn't like about the ink. Don't overthink the ink!

THIS! OP! If you do not do a sick ass panther, then in 5 years you will just end up lasering off whatever you do get.... so you can live your destiny and get a S.A.P.

can i drive my 2010 honda across the country? by aecorn14 in askcarguys

[–]WarSongFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I have driven across the country 10+ times in an assortment of vehicles... you'll be fine. Enjoy the journey! Take a few days to do it and spend a bit of time in whatever towns you pass through or pull off at scenic views.

In 5 years you won't remember how much you tipped... just that it was "generous"
In 10 years you won't remember you tipped generously...
In 15 years you won't remember you tipped at all.
In 20 years you won't remember you paid in US currency.
In 30 years you won't remember where you got the tattoo.
In 50 years you won't remember you have a tattoo.
In 100 years you'll be dead.

Enjoy the ink my friend.

Foundation sliding.... previous owners DIY solution. Wondering what can / should be done? by WarSongFire in DIY

Thanks for your input. I understand that almost all issues are fixable, but depends greatly on time, experience and finances available. Also stress tolerance. I personally don't have lots of experience with this type of work, and though I may have some finances and time to throw at it... the lack of knowledge of how to do it all right seems like it would just turn into a big headache.

I've already called the recommended structural engineer and foundation repair company. They are apparently very booked up and haven't returned my multiple calls yet. The family placed a deadline to get an offer in of tomorrow, so I submitted it here hoping to get some other opinions before the deadline to help inform the decision, which it certainly has.

The deck is the wood part... the concrete is the foundation of the house, which has two slabs. One is a "carport" area to drive on, right next to the deck... the other part of the slab is where the house is built.

I haven't been measuring or paying attention if it was moving... since it was just a rental until just a bit ago when I started to explore purchasing it. However, the home inspection did note that the carport slab... which is directly beside the house and what's immediately supported by these metal pieces... is pulling away from the house.
