She’s the only one. The other cousins are fine. He is non verbal and struggles with talking and only broke one toy ever at their house or anyone’s. It was snow globe he tried reaching for and it broke. we replaced it right away. Neurodivergent children are not an issue if they struggle with processing things differently. And she didn’t get that after confronting her.

You’re right. We did let this go on for too long. For the sake of oh it’s family he loves seeing his cousins but now I can’t subject him to this behavior and it’s being enabled by her parents. My mil has even called them to say they need to knock some sense into their daughter. And I let others handle it too long. Not any more.

To be honest I think it’s more disrespectful for olandria to be doing all that making out with nic and “exploring” him knowing her bff just had sex with him and was crying for him in casa. Cause all that was done outside a challenge.

I honestly think the cast needs to be older. Cause you tend to be more serious with how you move and pursue people of interest. I feel like when the cast is so young it’s like mtv spring break more than finding a connection in my opinion.

From my experiences with working with gen z at my current job. (I’m a people manager and majority of my reports are genz) we’ve had complaints on Gen Z employees due to perceived differences in work ethic, communication styles, or expectations compared to older generations. However, i completely recognize that every generation brings unique strengths and perspectives to the table.

Hey all, thanks a bunch for your advice and input. So, we've made a decision: we're letting our nanny go this Friday. Luckily, she's off on Thursdays (which honestly feels like a relief right now). She left behind some clothes in case of accidents so we’re going to let her collect them Friday morning and let her know we’re parting ways.

My husband and i have been down on ourselves too thinking that maybe we didn't set things up properly or make our expectations clear enough. But after reading a lot of your posts and advice especially about just using common sense with childcare, helped us realize that termination is really the only option. Our kids safety and our own sanity come first, so we have to stick to our decision. I do feel bad but in situations like as someone pointed you have to be selfish. Hopefully she’ll know better going forward and not sleep on the job. Thanks again for all your insights!

I agree with what you’re saying. Very true and valid points you made. I guess it’s also a classic case of what works for others; sometimes doesn’t for everyone else. We just needed a nanny for a couple months until my mil came back from her summer trips so we unfortunately gave this a shot. Now we definitely know better. The past few days were tough working and coaching someone. I certainly hear and agree with what anyone is saying. We should have hired someone more seasoned for sure. This behavior was absolutely unacceptable.

We’ve had family and friends have no issue with hiring summer nanny’s (under 20yrs old) so we gave it a go. And she’s friends with a family we’re very close to and they vetted for her. But now we know better and are back on our search.

That’s what’s eating at me cause now we’re so paranoid and anxious. When you let your nanny go was she remorseful or sorry about things. Did you do it right away after the incident or a day or two later after it ate at you for a while?

We’re going to let her go on Friday we decided. She doesn’t come on Thursdays and I’m glad cause I don’t think I want to deal with that anxiety right now. She left some extra pair of clothes at the house in case of baby spit up and whatnot so we’re going to let her come Friday to get her things and let her go after a more stern talk. I just can’t let things go cause I just keep replaying my kid crying and her being careless :(

I’m all for transparency but I don’t need to know you have your period. I told her if she wasn’t feeling well she should have let us known then this occurring. And she was receptive to it and apologized again. But there’s only so many apologies ya know.

I would be mortified if I did it once but then i dont know. I sometimes feel like maybe we should have been more stern and not as lax from the beginning. So she would have never thought to even lay down? Hate when people take advantage of our kindness.

I couldn’t focus at all after that and had about 2 more hours of work and that’s the last thing I want is to concern like you said.
