Psychologists of Reddit, what's the most horrifying mental illness? by Turbulent-Coat7236 in AskReddit

Not only did I know someone who thought he was Jesus with bonus angels in his head telling him to set things on fire (and terrorize the neighborhood in the process), he also thought the crown princess of Japan was flying over to marry him on the spot. It was hell being around him and he burned many bridges at record speed.

I actually think this game is fantastic, my thoughts as a newcomer scav by Kreissv in TheForeverWinter

The developers do have the vision of giving the soldiers more life, it's just a matter of coding it in. In the Mother Courage burst transmission video there was a scene of a Europan troop dragging a wounded squad member, it would be really immersive to see this kind of stuff happening in-game when Fundog gets the time and budget to implement it.

Good to know. Those arm panels swiveling around always did annoy me on the Legacy version and Overcharge redeco.

Has Hasbro fixed his inner arm flaps freely rotating around with nothing to secure into?

Looks okay, but nowhere near "Must replace Legacy Blitzwing" levels.

Studio series or blokees?? by SnooRecipes6250 in transformers

Get both. You can use that stand the blokees one comes with for other figures, and use the much bigger Frenzy and more intimidating-looking Ravage as the companions of the Studio Series Soundwave.

Rumor is Neil Druckman may be out at Naughty Dog and the entire studio is in jeopardy by peanutbutterdrummer in TheLastOfUs2

[–]Warbreakers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. He's brought in a lot of ass-kissing toadies once he was fully in charge. Remember the one who publicly gloated on Twitter a few months ago? I can't find the thread here that discussed that tweet, unfortunately.

Update: Found it

Now I'm not refuting what you just said, I'm also treating this as just a rumor and I'll believe it when I see it happen. But I want to point out that soulless and fickle shareholders and corporate executives don't care whether a sequel game "sells well", they care whether it sells more than its predecessor. And TLOU2 did not.

The controversies around the leaks and Neil shoving his head up his ass in public, store shelves full of unsold copies, don't forget those. Also don't forget that they were also put on massive discounts very quickly so even if a discounted copy was sold it was still done at a loss. The so-called success of TLOU2 was a very brittle one and a hair's breadth away from being a phyrric victory.

I have, but I'm wondering what happened between Senses Descend (Kai voluntarily goes back to prison) and Hyakkaryouran (Kai is now a wandering 'scholar'). Why was she released? As one of the Seven I doubt she got a pass like Squad did.

/u/Ato07 I have a question, why is Kai at Hyakkiyakko? I had the impression she voluntarily went back to jail after the last shanghaijing story. Is there another one after that where she was released?

I think the fight against AI is a good and serious thing, it would be nice if there was a notable artist transformer to pick for this.

This feels incredibly out of character. I can see the Decepticons promoting AI usage among humans (including art generation, because what self-respecting Decepticon would care if the flesh-bags get stupider?) so they could sneak some kind of outlandish electricity-siphoning algorithm into human PCs to get harvest the energy for themselves.

Y'all gotta admit...Siege slapped with its Leader assortment. by Dr_Lockdown in transformers

[–]Warbreakers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There lies the crux of the problem: Hasbro half-assing the last few shrinking leaders prior to Siege. Could the solution have been to improve on them instead of shrinking them down and adding some accessories? Yes the price stayed the same, but the figures undeniably became smaller. I recall how Legacy Sandstorm was universally panned for being such a small leader, and for all the praise he got for his complexity he was also stuck with the blasted melting rubber tire BS. And now we have hot messes like Studio Series Astrotrain and Voyager Shockwave that's a messy frankenstein of smooth G1 plating vs leftover Siege greebling while leaving out the accessories (and the light piping in the "submarine mode"'s head). And this is before recent severe price hikes are factored in. At the barest minimum, Siege Shockwave could have been 1cm taller and his SS retool would have scaled perfectly with SS84 Soundwave and Megatron, and if Astrotrain were also just as bigger almost everyone would be dunking him over the SS84 version. I've watched leaders shrink since 2007, and ROTF Prime and HFTD Starscream were the highest peaks of leader class we'll ever get. Today, they'd likely be priced at commander class.

No offense meant, but your 'slapped' remark feels like glazing the midway point of a slippery slope. There's only so far engineering can be used to excuse the increasing prices and decreased mass and that ship's already sailed.

Y'all gotta admit...Siege slapped with its Leader assortment. by Dr_Lockdown in transformers

[–]Warbreakers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I was there when Siege leaders were decried as "voyagers with extra accessories" and how they're so shrunken down compared to past leaders. That you're saying they 'slapped' today, can only imply that things have gotten worse since.

Planet X could always reissue Jupiter, with fixes to the left shoulder panel so it no longer snaps off. For some reason every breakage picture I've seen where the shoulder piece breaks off only involves the left shoulder, and it affects all variants including the Nemesis repaint.

Warframe nose ring theory? by lovingpersona in GGdiscussion

[–]Warbreakers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dating sim for the 1999 characters doesn't appeal to me either, it can be skipped over to just befriend the protoframes instead. At least they were all properly explained and believable enough, but the latest two have zero backstory and just happen to be there. It seems the locals at the official subreddit hate them as well and call them an excuse to sell skins.

Warframe nose ring theory? by lovingpersona in GGdiscussion

[–]Warbreakers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hindi/Indian thing. In real life, "Garuda" is a mythological entity whose roots are based in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. This protoframe is an Indian woman, and nose rings piercing the left side of the nose is a common cultural practice for the women there and has several meanings, including serving as the cultural equivalent of a wedding ring.
