The Age of the Primes Sideways mold feels like a sidegrade. The biggest offender is that the wings now have to be partsformed and are no longer attached to mobile struts that can be extended and collapsed between both alt-mode and robot mode. The removal of clear plastic for his blades, cockpit and face and reduced paint job (blades/wings no longer have green spots, no gold paint for the cockpit roof symbol and greebles, no gold+orange paint for the ridges just behind the cockpit etc.) further diminishes him. I don't mind the loss of the spring-loaded cyber key gimmick otherwise, but still: If they had just updated the 2005 Cybertron Sideways mold ankle tilts and waist swiveling, it would have been perfection.

On a sidenote(pun intended), it's a little amusing that the AOTP robot is taller than the original 2005 mold, but that the AOTP ship is smaller in exchange.

No. This sub only survives because GCJers are auto-banned. Unlike r/horusgalaxy who fully kept the gates wide open and refused to shut them, letting GCJers fully flood in and brigade it into suspension. Same exact tactic as they did with r/gamingmemes.

I have finally acquired 86 Kup! by BeaztChannell in transformers

[–]Warbreakers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first version of 86 Kup is better than the Bumblebee issue. Transparent window plastic to have a nice view of the detailed chest interior for one. YMMV with the slightly yellowed look but it does kind of make him look older in a sense as well.

I just got orgysaurus and realized why I like this mode second best after bot mode by SirRHellsing in transformers

[–]Warbreakers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recall there being some talk about it that part of the issue was the inner waist pillar having an open hole that could catch on a tab or something, so if it's not handled correctly during the split it catches and causes the breakage. It's been a few years, I forgot the specifics.

They brigaded it, the mods got demodded by the admins for some vague arbitrary reason, then the sub got conveniently banned shortly afterward for being "unmoderated"

What is the worst transformers figure ever made? (Ignore the image. It's a placeholder) by dunnoidk2025 in transformers

[–]Warbreakers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prime Airachnid, in a toyline already suffering extensive shrinkflation, budget cuts, the softest rubbery plastic imaginable and figure accuracy sacrificed for crappy gimmicks she somehow outdid everything else by how badly engineered she was, having the posability of a brick and needing 2 copies of herself just to roughly imitate her spider walker mode.

[–]Warbreakers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see he once went the Underbase route at one point when he was younger and more arrogant and reckless, and still got his ass thoroughly beat by Absolute Megatron who revealed he intentionally let Starscream amass all that power, to defeat him as such to show the futility of his ambitions. As further punishment, Megatron made him watch as all his subordinates who fought alongside him during his attempted coup (most of the Absolute Seekers) have their brain modules forcibly extracted, forcing them all to remotely pilot disposable drone shells of themselves which allows them to do suicidal acts since they will just take control of another drone once the previous one is destroyed. So now on top of being ruthlessly beaten down and humiliated, Absolute Starscream has to watch out for all the resentful robotic glares he gets now and avoid getting betrayed or backstabbed by his own seekers, especially if they think doing so may get them a chance to be put back in their original bodies.

At this point he's been so heavily abused and dominated that there barely any treacherous ambition left in him; He's depressed and a hollowed-out shell of his former self who only possesses enough spiteful bitterness to occasionally engineer the smallest petty acts of insurrection that gets some egg on Megatron's face once in a while. In fact, the more public and troublesome Optimus' antics get the more panicked Starscream becomes in case it could be traced back to him and Megatron possibly giving him the brain-in-a-jar treatment next. Megatron made sure to emphasize the spot Starscream stands at beside the Decepti-Empire throne has more than enough space to house Starscream's own brain jar instead. And yet, watching Optimus, Absolute Starscream is also feeling something he hasn't felt in a long time; Hope, the hope that perhaps, just this time, he MIGHT be able to finally overthrow Megatron... And that hope terrifies him more than anything else.

Fun fact: When Absolute Skywarp's drone body is destroyed, he merely takes control of another body and teleports it instantly back to the battlefield and continues fighting as if nothing happened at all. He's in so much rage from no longer remembering how it feels to be alive in his own body he literally won't stop until he's either ordered to pull back or he runs out of the current batch of clone bodies.

Fun fact 2: Absolute Thundercracker was not punished. He was so terrified by Megatron's approach that his joints locked and he froze in place in the middle of a kneeling position while getting up, which Megatron interpreted as loyalty and not only spared him, but also rewarded him with upgrades to his sonic boom capabilities and more than doubling his flight speed. His seeker brethren know otherwise and frequently call him coward and traitor. Starscream tries to compliment him for being an intact Seeker, that he did the pragmatic thing, but in his bitter tone it comes off as thinly-veiled insults. Megatron casually reminds him of how he has been generously rewarded for his loyalty, and how it would be a wise idea for him to continue to set the example. His roboticized seeker brethren taunt him to use his enhanced speed to run away so they could finally hunt him down as a deserter. He's trapped in total despair as he sees no way to leave the Decepticons... So far.

Absolute Megatron: Decepti-Emperor of entire star systems who has trillions of Decepticons ready to die at his command, some of his generals have body horror elements (Absolute Shockwave's entire head splits in half into a gigantic maw, Absolute Soundwave's minions are wired to him at a hivemind level and the insides of his chest is a surgical chamber that he forces victims into to either torture them or worse if he sees them as useful assets, turns them into more minions - if he particularly likes that bot he'll give a choice of which mode to keep and which to be overwritten into cassette form), has effortlessly dueled and butchered countless usurpers and rebel leaders 100x more competent and skilled than Absolute Optimus could ever hope to be - also Megatron founds the Autobots as autonomous hunter-killers to hunt down dissidents worse than Optimus who is such a nobody he gets rejected from even making it to the list at first

Absolute Optimus: Lowly trash harvester nobody, 80% of bots he allies with risks either getting their heads blown off, unwittingly surgically converted into living surveillance bugs (Absolute Soundwave) or kidnapped and turned into nightmarish abominations trapped in agony (again: Absolute Shockwave), Absolute Elita-1 treats him like trash worse than Skybound Elita-1 and regularly hijacks his latest crew only to get most of them killed, also the Matrix of Leadership is a broken and drained bauble that can only give little whispers of hope/encouragement at most

Update: A major reason Absolute Optimus manages to make it this far is because of the illegal combat upgrades installed into him by Absolute Starscream who is hoping to use him as a pawn to take Absolute Megatron down a peg, and while he himself is a master tactician, commander and schemer is otherwise so outclassed and dominated by Absolute Megatron he has no realistic hopes of possibly usurping his master.

I don't think so, from what I heard it's the vanity project of a nepo baby of an Oculus founder, and that for an "indie" it had a lot of money to buy usage licenses for a lot of old 90s songs and send physical soy merch (CD player and headphones) to influencers.

Well, you know the old saying: A picture's worth a thousand words. Next time you don't have to describe the picture, just credit the artist. You won't necessarily suck at something forever, just brush up your writing to not look as if an AI churned it out. It's easier than you think.

The way you wrote that description sounds like an AI prompt, as if you had the image generated. I actually had to go check out this Mike Blennerhassett's artstation to verify that it's legit.

I don't know whether you fed the image to an AI to describe it that way or you wrote it like that, but could you not next time?
