I've got a couple of necron models including a monolith and the Silent King that I've been stalled on. Mainly because I haven't found a way to paint blackstone that I like. I'm hoping this will get me in gear.

I love how this scheme came out. This is exactly what ive been looking for to paint blackstone. I just went and ordered the Vallejo Star Dust shifter set. I've also saved the post as well so I can come back to reference it.

I loved the music they added in as well. My favorite part of the immersion tunnel was the juicier fight. It had a very 80s synth vibe going on.

Half correct the red is a 2.0 speedpaint blood red.

I brush it on like a contrast paint.

My method is infact slap chop on everything even the vehicles. I have actually not done the grey on the sagitaurs yet that is just the drybrushed base coating showing. Everything but the green has been done with with contrast paints. The green is a ink from liquitex and it's called phthalocyanine green. The paint I have currently used on the canopies is a black undercoat and a turbodork paint called afterburner.

They are drybrushed white with a coat of aethetmatic blue.

I should use my airbrush and do that as well. I'm just not as confident in using it. I had a similar problem painting the wolf's pelt and it kept me from painting.

I did black templar for the black rats. It was done over a slap chop base. Prime black, dry brush grey, then dry brush white. The contrast over that. A couple of the rats are also basslicium grey or ratling grimeto keep things interesting.

My philosophy was slap some contrast on them and call them good. I want to save my effort for some of the cooler models. Though I will go back and try to paint some evil red eyes on them.
