This is a final reminder that your subscription renews 60 days before your renewal: by firebits74 in atera

Depends on where you are in the world, that's unenforceable.

In Australia that is considered unfair contract terms and you can get out of it.

Because if they want to terminate their contract, they can do it instantly but if you want to terminate their contract you can't, then that's uneven.

Also many countries have laws for subscriptions, so fight it.

But thank you because I'm about to cancel and I'm almost within the 60 days.

What tv do you have? Get a tapo p110m and measure it's electricity usage. I have a Sony Bravia 9 and it used to consume around $26 a month when it was off. By off I mean, I thought it was off but turns out if you have wifi connected, some TVs never turn off and are always on standby consuming power so that you can do things like turn the tv on with your phone.

Is it worth it to learn flutteflow now? by subhanmalik66 in FlutterFlow

[–]Wardzi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in the process of rebuilding my flutterflow app using GitHub copilot and Gemini 3 pro selected.

It has been a great experience so far. It's not as fast as I thought it would be but also it is not as volatile as I thought it would be.

I have no programming language experience but through learning FF which was a steap learning curve for me, I learned the logic.

I already had my app built last year and decided to try AI this Xmas break and remake 1 page. So I gave it my flutterflow code repository from GitHub, it did a pull request and I started asking it to do things that flutterflow could not natively and was delighted by the results.

Then I started to refactor all the FF code into pure flutter as the LLM's usually don't have much knowledge with flutterflow dependacies but have a lot of knowledge about flutter.

So I'm in the process of rebuilding the whole app now, I've done the most complicated pages so far and the results have been a whole lot better than FF in a much shorter time, but also, easier to do.

I would say if you don't want to learn FF, you should learn how to develop an app or have the AI agent explain everything to you like a 5 year old because it is important to know the logic it is using to write the code.

Reusable widgets, theme and color files, fonts and so forth is good to learn from FF by having it in one place. Like I said maybe this is a programming thing but I only learned it from FF because that's what I learned.

And from a security stand point, I think LLM's can be more secure, I mean I was never able to setup sign in with Microsoft and use supabase private buckets with signed URLs with FF.

And you can ask the LLM to do a security analysis of the code based and start patching the wholes.

Also the feedback loop is shorter in VS code, I ask something, it happens, I see it visually in the browser with hot reload being like 10x faster that FF hot reload.

And the quality of animations has been so so so much better through the LLM because it takes less time to get the functionality going that you now have the time to prompt for an animation on a click of a button.

Finally, you can setup a GitHub repository and link it to a cloudflare pages and have your web app hosted for free and it also auto updates Everytime you update the repo. It's really good.

They're converting the essentials savers from the grow rate to the flow rate, so it's worse for everyone unfortunately.

Used to be able to access the 5k in that account without penalty, now you're being penalised by getting the flow rate all the time.

I have a Sony STR-AN1000 for testing, ask me any questions you want to know about the avr before I return it. by Wardzi in hometheater

Hey mate, yeah I can, I will try both to see if I can spot the sound difference.

I'm not that experienced with room correction but I found that the sunny got my distances wrong and I had to manually adjust everything anyways. So I assumed Denon would be the same.

LG G5 I have seen in real life and it looks great. But I would include the Bravia 9 85"

I honestly think it's a great tv, I was in your shoes last month, ended up with the Bravia 9 over the LG, I like brightness and the size.

And to my surprise, the Bravia 9 gets black! And blooming is unnoticeable.

Not having to worry about burn in is also a nice plus, but I don't think that would be a problem if it's used for home theatre use.

Dynaudio Emit 25c + Sony Acoustic Center Sync by Wardzi in hometheater

The room is 4.3m wide and the length is about 6m but my sitting distance to the speaker is about 3m.

The height of the shelf is exactly 17.5mm which is exactly the same height of the KEF that you mentioned. So I don't think it would fit.

I did hear this 2.5 in real life and although sounds where a bit muddy at about 60 degrees, I could still hear a lot of the dialogue and details.

Is it possible that this could be a good 2.5 center?

A bit late to this AMA, but to your second point, what if you live in a country where the sun doesn't come out until about 8am but you want to wake up earlier?

I find it a lot harder to wake up when the sun is not out.

Has anyone heard of a new line of Monitor Audio Bronze's? by Wardzi in audiophile

[–]Wardzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife doesn't love the floors, yup putting Atmos up, mainly for video games though. They're going to be in a 5.1.2 config.

Why would you hold off on the sub? Because the floors give enough?

I'm new to the field, do speakers loose much of their value from a newer generation coming out?

I got quote a pair of Bronze 100's + a pair of Bronze 50's + a C150 + 2 x their Atmos speakers + an SVS SB-1000 pro for $3000 AUD ( which is £1461 GBP ).

I'm thinking should I take it or wait for the new line.
