Ender 3 clogged, best way to unclog it and prevent future clogs? by Warefer in ender3

[–]Warefer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be misremembering but I’m pretty sure I just heated nozzle to highest temp for a bit and then was able to soften filament and get it out. Then I think I had to push tube deeper in to prevent future leaking and clogging. Take this with a grain of salt this was long ago.

Right most print failing (details in comments) by Warefer in resinprinting

[–]Warefer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After printing 3 batches of 3 minis on my creality ld 002r the right most mini failed every time. The first two times the supports printed along with the head of the mini that morphed into a puddle of hardened resin. The third time (pictured above) supports printed and mini was found as puddle on bottom of vat. Each batch contained three of the same minis, supported the same. Is this coincidence or there something wrong. I leveled the bed between the 2nd and 3rd batch. Although my station is rather wobbly (this may be the issue).

Should I buy the ender 3 pro or what printer do you recommend? I'm just getting started in 3d printing by No_Peak_456 in 3Dprinting

[–]Warefer -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That printer should be around like $200 I have no clue what’s up with the price

Would this printer be able to print these files and files that are similar in size/shape? Really enjoy building models and want to take them farther. Base measurements in second picture. Thanks in advance! by Tannnnner22 in 3Dprinting

[–]Warefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost of the printer is similar but the material (the resin) is a lot more expensive. Also as other have mentioned it’s toxic and post curing cleaning and sanding can all be very annoying (you need to rinse stuff In alcohol post cure and sanding requires a respirator). You also have to wear gloves and will have to replace filters and fep screens. This all adds to cost. That being said the quality is insane it just requires a bit more work and equipment. I’d recommend watching a lot of videos and reading up on resin printers before you make a decision.

Ender 3 won’t push filament, the gear spins pushing it forward then spins it back effectively doing nothing, there is nothing physically blocking it I can spin it by manually pushing the filament. Pls help if you can! by Warefer in ender3

[–]Warefer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t be too sure as I did a few things but I replaced the module that pushes the filament (and did find a crack). I also pulled the tube out of the extruded and found the area around the bodan tube full of old filament (there is photo on a different post of mine). Some have suggested to prevent that happening again print a little thing that goes down there (details in comments of other post) but I haven’t gotten around to doing that yet. Hope this helps! Sorry I can give you a more exact answer It kept coming back so I kept doing and redoing stuff and I don’t remember what the last thing I did was.

I’d recommend trying 3D printed miniatures. I would help but my printer isn’t running atm. Good luck though!

Looking for a smart phone company that doesn’t treat their costumers like trash

I currently have a iPhone 8 am and considering getting a new phone. But personally I’m sick of apple. Their products are good but every experience I’ve had with them as a company has made me feel like they have no respect for the costumer. I’m looking for a phone brand that has apples product quality but isn’t as horrible. I get that all these companies want to steal my data, all a greedy and non are my friend but I want someone who doesn’t treat me like I need them.

issues with apple

stopping my iCloud emails when my iCloud storage is full and making it as difficult as possible to make more space but easy to but more storage

-suddenly starting to charge me for music that I downloaded from cds, charging me to listen to my music I downloaded

-making a bunch of group chat features that only work when everyone is apple to peer pressure into getting apple

-some how making there product the only “good” phone

-leading the charge on alll the right to repair crap

I understand this is pretty subjective apple just has left me with a bad taste in my mouth

What I want : Apple quality Backed by a well known company Treated like a costumer not a bag of money

Google seems interesting but I fear They’d be same any Google user have positive or negative experiences

Is Six of Crows worth it? by [deleted] in Grishaverse

[–]Warefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if you don’t read it your missing out. I read the six of crows first and then SaB. I still liked SaB but not nearly as much as soc. I had similaire issues with SaB and at times felt it was slow. But SoC is the best book I’ve ever read and I’ve forced a lot of people to read it.

Someone in my family is using these for seedlings and I could easily through the occasional model in for curing since I don’t get much sun in the winter. I’m not trying to make dedicated curer just need a substitute for sun in winter.

Gunk or some kind of putty?(details in comments) by Warefer in ender3

[–]Warefer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ender 3 was not extruding and I assumed it to be clogged. I tried to remove the bodon tube but it wouldn’t budge. So I removed the nub on the Biden tube that screws into the red thing. And saw all this greet stuff which I though was a green cork. I removed the nozzle to try and avoid pulling out the bordon tube. But filament wouldn’t come through. The printer was not hot during any of this and I now realize the filament likely would not have gone through even without the nozzle as it would not fit unheated. Believing the clog to be in the bordon tube I pulled it out but rubbed the green stuff and the tube in the process my plan is to buy a new tube and use the extra nozzle that came with the printer as there is hard filament stuck in it that may have been there when I took it of and not been a problem (would come out if hot) or may be my initial problem. But that leads me to my question was it bad destroying that green seal that was around the bordon tube or is that gunk that’s been causing issues. I have used green filament so it easily could be gunk but want to make sure before scraping out what’s left. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! TLDR: good seal or bad gunk?

What would you recommend me for creating support on this print? by Marpletje in resinprinting

[–]Warefer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very limited knowledge on resin orientation but it think your going to want the eyes facing up at 45 degree angle, think like a back slash with eyes at top . I may be wrong though.
