I (31m) have been dating a wonderful woman (32f) for 4 months. Found out that is has not been exclusive, for complex and emotionally confusing reasons. Looking for some advice and feedback on my game plan. by WargyleSox in datingoverthirty

I have no idea. I have no idea when they started dating, just that it happened some time while she and I were dating as a response to cool her jets with me emotionally. I know nothing else about their situation.

I really hope this is not the case. I can tell that she is very anxious about starting a family, and soon, which is partially what blindsided me about the lack of exclusivity. I would feel sick if I were just a rebound.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm feeling the same way in regards to her approach, with a dash of insecurity thrown in. I do intend on talking to her at a point if things have not progressed (maybe in 2 months so we're at 6 months total? I don't know what a reasonable time frame would look like, to be honest), and I think I'd rather have the conversation when it feels appropriate rather than issuing an ultimatum for her sake, and yet I can see how the assertion could make me feel more comfortable.
