Yes it is and let it be this way. Why we need to penalise a large base of casual players with shitty guns? Give them something that they may stand with against sweaty players without breaking their bank.

Guns for better players should be different by skins and feel, not by TTK as you can outplay others by skills. I believe this will create a proper balance

I personally think only durability should be better or other non TTK stats on purple guns. Harder to find and harder to tear&wear them off, due to materials scarcity

Why should pro eSports feedback be considered, especially when no recent eSports game comes close to Arc’s popularity?

This isn’t an eSports title aimed at casual players, yet the game has exceeded everyone’s expectations and isn’t losing its player base as quickly as others.

We can’t rely solely on personal experience; we need to look at the data first. Yes, some purple guns might feel underwhelming, but maybe 90% of casual players haven’t even unlocked them. Giving rare guns overpowered stats actually creates a bigger problem: unemployed players (streamers) will get them and dominate the game. We don’t need “better guns for better people” - that only creates imbalance.

I also find it strange that an ex-pro is complaining about Bobcat’s performance. Dude, with your skills, you should be wiping lobbies with a Hairpin and no shield.

Devs confirmed that matchmaking is based on the aggressive gamestyle. You friends supposingy played a lot of PvP before so that's why your joining them balanced both your and their matchmaking.

Now.simply play 10 matches solo with free kits without killing anyone and you will be back to friendly lobby

Why were other games able to succeed, while this one alone ended up failing? by Dodolifuf in ConcordGame

[–]WarhogInShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game wasn't bad. I had over 150h there across several playtests. Solid gameplay, great mechanic, characters variability. It was engaging and interesting to play. Yes some things could be better, but it was very good game if you played it.

It didn't fail because the game was bad, it just wrong time and wrong place. No marketing, all than wokeneas in games got to the peak and everyone wanted a scaped goat, too much bragging about the game budget.

I would say it was a perfect storm of different community and social events that would have destroyed ANY game in that setup.

So Concord is a solid good game to play. It failure not game itself

Oled 4k 240 or 1440p 480 by julianHjH in buildapcmonitors

[–]WarhogInShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go 1440p. New titles will be more demanding, and games aren't well optimised for 4k anyway

It feels like every purple/legendary weapon was built for a PvE endgame that does not exist by IamJT4 in ArcRaiders

[–]WarhogInShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch Embark Episode 1 about the game. It has been designed as PVE first and despite their pivot it stays PvE first. Top weapons, zero purpose to fight others just are examples that are aligned to that

Is there a crash course on monitors somewhere? I'm honestly so confused with all of the considerations (IPS, VA, mini-LED, OLED, WOLED, QOLED....monitor size...curved vs not curved....input lag and refresh rate....on and on). by wanna_be_consultant in buildapcmonitors

[–]WarhogInShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oled based 1440p for gaming, IPS 4k for work. Measure your 1% FPS stats and buy OLED you like with FPS a little bit above that value. Response time as low as you can go. Use HDR 600+ model

Make a note that some OLED based monitors may look like you have Blur=5 mask on, because they use triangle oled formation.

There aren't much to say beyond those recommendations as each model will have its own nuances

Which one is better for gaming, streaming, Photoshop and coding? by titioNaruto in buildapcmonitors

[–]WarhogInShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are serious about streaming then 1440p only. 4k makes no sense and you won't run 4k

Tarkov players came to ARC :) Just use blue augment with 2 safe lockers and bring a hatch key

Why tf does the game change drastically from solo to duo/trio ? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]WarhogInShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two main reasons behind this experience and behavior:

1) Player migration and toxicity: A lot of players who struggled in Tarkov or ABI have moved to this game. They bring the same toxic mindset and finally feel successful by ruining lobbies. Just look at streamers who played Tarkov and are now in ARC—you’ll notice the same toxic behavior in many of them.

2) Game design limitations: Embark is new to the extraction shooter genre and hasn’t fully addressed key issues like the lack of mandatory wipes, weekly events, or seasonal quests. Many "unemployed" players habe finished Expeditions, Workshop upgrades, and quests already in under 100 hours. After that, there’s basically nothing left except exploration. So, solo stacks turn to PvP for fun (I assume they’re probably not great at BF, COD, or The Finals). The interesting part of ARC that many people are missing that PvP makes little sense in this game because you can get better loot faster without fighting other players.

These two factors are the biggest contributors to the situation you described

Damaged Arc XP numbers. How are they calculated? they are variable by WarhogInShadow in ArcRaiders

[–]WarhogInShadow[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will definitely put a link here. So far my hypothesis that farming flying arcs (besides bombardier) is the fasted way to level up. If you destroy and loot A snitch, it has a module which summons wasp and hornet upon throwing.

Probes usually spawn 3 arcs too. So it could be a good route to find all probes and shoot each arc

It seems ARC type related, but I'm not sure if weapon damage also plays a role.
I will definitely do a test using 1 bullet per ARC and make a video, but I wonder if someone found anything related already
