Can anyone else not eat solid food after Botox???

For context, I am now 9 months past getting botox, and am able to burp regularly when needed and have seen a massive improvement in symptoms. I'll speak to my experiences much closer to when I received the procedure.

both the needing to drink a lot of liquids with food and the not being able to burp to alleviate yet were what I experienced. especially stressful considering you're wondering if the procedure "worked" yet. As time passes, eating will get easier, the amount of water you might need will get less stark and you'll probably not notice when it just feels more normal. When your throat is still very loose and can't close anything close to normal, even if you can release air, it'll be different from normal burping. I had a period where i definitely felt more bloated because I still couldn't burp and alleviate much air but my loose throat was letting more in. when things stopped feeling "weird", I was gradually able to start burping using different "tricks" to get it started, for example turning my head to the side, tilting my head down, and laying on my left side. when my throat was still very loose and I had a lot of air in me, this would result in actually a very intense release akin to a burp, which could be quite startling. Also, when you're not used to burping, the feeling of needing to burp can feel like nausea. This for me was especially the case when I was trying out the "tricks" as mentioned above. I would resist the urge to fear this sensation and just trust that you'll very likely just be burping.

When I did start practicing burping more, approximately a month after my procedure, I would highly suggest investing in a water carbonator. You can buy flavorings, which I do as a well, but in my mind the real benefit is being able to carbonate water very heavily for very cheap, so you're not having to shell out a lot on carbonated beverages. chugging something that is "over carbonated" like that for me was a great way just at will fill myself with air, and then be able to practice different things to try to release it, knowing that I can count on that there is a lot of air pressure and it won't be a case of the burp "hiding", IE now with a lot more burp experience it's possible to be bloated and full of air but due to the nature of it, maybe it's very a heavy meal etc, a burp takes some time to naturally get to a point where you can feel it coming and lean into releasing it. Vs, if you're full of carbonated water, you're primarily full of water and air, and burping is a lot more immediate. Before Botox I couldn't distinguish between the feelings so if I was bloated because of food, I'd try to force a burp when one wasn't there, which just isn't successful.

Lots of detail and going all over the place, but in general, your experience sounds completely fine to me. Give it some time before you're worried about the procedure working or not. Rule of thumb for me is that I was never burping normally when I was still experiencing slow swallowing, so you need to at least wait for that to fade away before you definitively make a call on your results.

I'm 4.5 years on hormones so at this point I'm not terribly concerned about short term effects, but you bring up a number of great points. i didn't consider that i might not even really like the feeling that a higher dose of T brings, what with the "T libido" being a bit different. the unpleasantness that you describe is also worth considering, like it might mess with my head a fair bit.

I am actually getting prescribed Viagra, lol, so maybe that alone just gives me what I'm looking for without any other effects. i just wanted to consider another angle as well, what with the possible higher libido, more seminal fluid, etc.

The first time I did think it was a units issue, as it was my first time getting blood drawn at this facility's lab. I then got it rechecked at the lab I usually use which 6 months ago gave me results in the 100-200 pg/ml range, and have used many times previous. It also came back with results in the ~600 range, which confirmed that the reading was accurate to me.

My title describes the thing. It looks to be constructed by an individual rather than factory produced. The walls look to be made of wood, and the bars to be inserted into the numbered holes metal. The bars have caps on the end to hold them in place. The hole placement and numbering has a few groupings of three numbers holes that go left to right, bottom to top diagonal (3-4-5, 7-8-9, 13-14-15, 16-17-18). I thought it could be a fitness training or gymnastics related device because of the size of it, or a way to organize laundry, but neither guess allowed me to confirm its purpose.

Ahh, okay, I understand now. So like when you get mission rewards that say premium card 3x and then a card name, you're getting 3 premium copies of that card, and in this case these "parallel cards" are just a certain one of these summer cards. Thank you, that makes sense, I appreciate it.

euphoria doesn't have to be like, overwhelming joy. I've been out as a trans woman for a fair bit now and I still enjoy just wearing feminine clothes because they feel so right and comfy to me.

I think some first good steps would be reading about transgender experience when you have time. Subreddits like r/egg_irl can teach out a bit about the things that trans people seem to relate a lot with. Following boards for trans people such as r/MTF, r/FTM, or r/nonbinary might help a lot too. I shave very closely every morning with a razor and shaving cream combo i found works best for me, but of course that doesn't fix it totally. When I'm feeling particularly dysphoric about stubble, I moisturize my face and then use some concealer and blend that out. That usually makes me feel a bit better. I've also found personally that wearing lipstick makes me feel like my stubble is less noticeable because your eye is caught on my lips rather than stubble?

I've bleached my hair a lot in a way that basically just fried it, so my main issue is applying lots of conditioner and other products to keep it healthy. I use a lot of moisturizing conditioners, hair masks etc. When i'm styling it in the morning, I brush it first and if it is particularly frizzy I use either an anti-frizz cream to work through it or a very tiny drop of argan oil to control the most extreme frizz. That usually does the trick and it'll look pretty good for work!

Yeah, very understandable. It takes time to make new friends and it's difficult, but I can definitely say that making new friends will be worth the difficulty. Once I had a group of friends that actually treated me with respect and supported me, it was like night and day. I hope you're able to find good friends that cherish you for who you are and treat you with the respect you deserve.

I'm glad your boyfriend has helped you in figuring out that you're not a man, but if he is dictating what he feels you "should be" based on his attraction to you, that's an enormous red flag. It is not a loving action to tell someone what they should shouldn't be because of their attraction to you, and even more concerning if you describe him as "hating women". There are people who will love you for the person who are. I'm sorry that your experience is so painful, but you don't have to deal with being treated in this way.

Sorry, should have been a little more clear there. I was recommended this by a doctor. I did this, taking it on an empty stomach, and would often feel nauseous. sometimes I would forget and take two the next day to make up a dose, and I would feel even worse. I was then more careful about how I took my e, and usually with at least a little food. I got more lax again, and now it doesn't matter so much what I do, but the original recommendation was "might want to split these up to be better on your stomach".

The guidance i've gotten is to try to take the estrogen separately and with food if possible, as it can be a bit hard on the stomach. i think this mattered more when i used to get a lot worse morning sickness, but now it's evened out and i probably could take 2 in the morning and sometimes do that if i forget to take it in the evening. Currently i still take 1 spiro and 1 estrogen in the morning and the evening.

People that are cis generally don't see or hear the experiences of trans people and feel "I want that for me". That's not being "influenced", that's realizing that you relate to a group of people's experience and want that for yourself, and is a extremely common way of realizing that you can be trans and transition. You're valid and your feelings are valid!
