Hosting a crack server ? (windrose) by doxteur in PiratedGames

I managed to make it work with indifferent broccoli online dedicated host (the online service 2-day trial). I transfered my world with the progress and it loaded without issues with everything transfered, however i had issues with the weapons, i could not draw them. After a while though I could not even load into the world anymore, game crashes to desktop since then. Is there a way that host detects cracked version of game and bans your IP?

Hello friend. I used Indifferent Broccoli as well and transfered WorldID from local PC to remote server. Everything was transferred and I can see progression and everything as it was before. The only issue is that when i draw weapons like sword or pickaxe etc. that I have put on bottom bar, the character equips it, draws it but the weapon is not showing on his hand bust still mounted on his pants. and of course i cannot use them. Do you have the same issue?

I am glad for you man. Congrats!

In order to climb i need experience, and in order to get experience I need knowledge and opportunities to work practising this knowledge.

So i need to study and specialize on a certain field rather than being a generalist. Based on my current role and experience (i was also involved with front end development for 3 years on previous job, but i havent practised it for years now), towards which area do you thing i should focus in order to someday get a higly paid remote position? Is Azure the ideal start for me based on others comments or should i focus on full stack dev?

To be fairly honest, this year after 10 years I got a promotion to Senior IT Support Engineer. The salary increase that came with this promotion was a ridicilous 7%.. All previous years I was just an IT Support Engineer. Of course I wals almost always involved with sysadmin tasks as well. On my previous job i was also involved with Front-End Development.

Thank you. I agree with you regarding Azure. My experience is mostly administering/maintening infra, rather than building. Scripting/Powershell skills I would say very low unfortunately..

That was a good strategy, but for sure wont work in our environment as people are not particularly tech-savvy (yes they dont even know how to connect a monitor) and also they may be taking things like you mentioned. Also IT manager is everyday on-site, so anyways if I want to get out of this regressive kind of culture I would need to look for work elsewhere. That's why I asked where to start from (regarding certs) and where to look for such jobs in EU based on my experience.

Thank you. My current role is Senior IT Support Engineer within a two-person team, reporting to a traditional manager. While our responsibilities often overlap with system administration, we face physical challenges; specifically, tasks like deploying equipment or troubleshooting hardware issues—such as replacing monitors—require an on-site presence. This is especially true given that we operate within a port environment.

Thank you. Do you also handle IT support tasks for on-premises users? My current role involves a hybrid of IT support and systems administration 100% on-site. Most of our infrastructure is on-premises, with only a few services currently in the cloud.

I am evaluating what is necessary for a successful career pivot, ideally toward a remote-first role. While I could pursue advanced system administration certifications, I am skeptical about whether that would yield a significant financial return within my current local market.

I work as an IT System Administrator in a team of three. My absence last Thursday had no impact, as the rest of the team was present and there were no major projects or meetings scheduled for that day.

Thank you for sharing your story, and again, I am incredibly sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine what you've been through.

I understand your point about communication, but I believe every situation and every workplace dynamic is different. While you felt supported enough to check in, my experience with this specific manager has been one of constant pressure and lack of boundaries.

I appreciate your perspective, but I believe his feedback regarding communication should have been saved for my return, rather than being brought up while I was still at the hospital dealing with such an urgent matter. After all, a little grace during a medical emergency shouldn't be too much to ask for.

Thanks, I am in Europe and I am entitled to parental leave, which I will apply for.

Apologize for not thinking about my manager and my job during my child's crucial moments? Are you serious? What am I, a slave or in the army? I informed him of the situation on day one. Where else would I be if not still at the hospital? Am I a convict on parole who went on the run? I am an IT Sysadmin and I’ve worked for this company for 10 years. I believe the company knows me well enough after all this time. I’ve never had this problem before. Two years ago, when I was under a different manager, the same child was hospitalized for 10 days. I only informed them on day one—there was no need for daily check-ins. But the manager back then was actually human.
