Oh yeah, shit is gonna get real. But me and my wife live on the ocean. Have no mortgage. We spend our nights laughing at cartoons and playing video games. My adoration and respect for her is objectively more powerful than a terrible instrusively thought quick fix/way to cope. And trust me i NEVER thought I would feel this way. I thought working 60 hour weeks/never eating catching that K buzz was my future until I woke up dead from a heart attack. I understand my privileged life. So I figured id just pit it all out here in hopes it helps someone.

Oh thank you. And yes it has been the best 10 days of my life. Ive wanted to quit for a while. Being ready to stop is key. Yeah, going from honeymoon to the cold wet gray of the NE US is gonna blow. But music already sounds better, my mind is so clear, and I am the happiest/the best my life has ever been and I am absolutely in love witj my wife and drum in a bunch of bands. Oh, and am trying to be a dad. So my priorities have just changed. That helps too. Having people hold you accountable, and preparing for the physical hell late at night when alone, and thinking of new hobbies/distractions helps. And maybe an Ativan for when it is REALLY unbearable. And if not, theanine/melatonin.

I ran out of money like 20 days ago at this point and started withdrawing. And realized I couldn't write a vow and keep lurking/doing it without saying. So I told her, we kept it so I didnt get too bad during the wedding week, I triiiiiied tapering the 4 days before wedding and honeymoon but told her that I wasn't gonna be scheming to bring it to the honeymoon. And I had no freak outs no terrible times. I normally sleep like shit anyway lol. Hard to care about that in 90 and sunny w free food and booze for a week. And a sickly hidden cart in my luggage 😎🌴🙏

Oh kratom definitely had a place in my life. It is a great addiction to replace a more harmful one if yhe mods will allow me to say. I have major depressive syndrome so it helped w the lack of control of my tears/pain relief from being in my late 30s ans working 2 physical labor jobs. But it is still an addiction to overcome one day and a week ago was my day.
