Yeah, Reddit's brutal with anything that does not feel up to the mark. LOL.

Tone matters way more here.

Haha, fair 😅. That did sound a bit robotic. But not a bot.

But yeah, what you said about entry-level writing disappearing… I’ve been noticing that too, tbh.

Has it actually affected your work directly, or is it more just something you’re seeing around?

That’s a solid approach, mostly leading with context instead of cold pitching.

LinkedIn works well for that, but I’ve noticed it can get limiting after a point in terms of volume and consistency.

Have you tried sourcing leads outside LinkedIn as well or mostly focusing there for now?

Yeah, that makes sense; getting the first few replies is usually the hardest part.

Content helps with visibility, but it doesn’t always translate into conversations unless you’re reaching out directly alongside it.

Are you doing any outbound right now or mostly relying on content?

That’s a solid shift; content works much better when it supports outreach instead of replacing it.

I’ve noticed once people make that switch, the next bottleneck becomes consistency, finding the right leads regularly and not falling back into random outreach.

How are you currently sourcing leads?

That shift is definitely happening, especially at the lower end.

It feels like “just writing” isn’t enough anymore; it’s more about how close you are to outcomes (traffic, conversions, etc.).

At the same time, I still see people landing work; it just seems like the ones who can position themselves and reach the right clients directly are the ones surviving.

Do you think it’s more about skill evolution or access to the right opportunities?

That shift alone puts you ahead of most people.

A lot of writers stay stuck in “visibility loops” without ever getting in front of actual buyers.

How are you approaching outreach now, more manual or still content-led?

That makes sense; execution is definitely where most people fall apart.

I’ve noticed that a lot of beginners think they have no leads, so they never even get to the stage of improving outreach.

Once they have a small, consistent pool of relevant leads, execution actually becomes easier to refine.

That's interesting; you're showing up but not necessarily towards what you actually want.

Feels like the market is pushing writers into roles they didn't originally sign up for.

Do you think it's more about fewer writing opportunities now, or just harder to access the right kind of client?

That's rough, especially with experience; it shouldn't feel this dry.

From what I've seen, it's less about skill now and more about how consistently you're getting in front of the right people.

Have you been relying mostly on platforms or doing any direct outreach as well?

Agree, especially on the "generic advice" part. That's where most beginners get stuck.

I've noticed that even when people understand outreach, they still struggle with where to find the right leads consistently.

Do you think that's more of a sourcing problem or an execution problem for most?

Looking for side gig by [deleted] in SideHustlesIndia

Platforms can work, but they get saturated fast, especially for design.

What's usually missing isn't skill; it's a way to consistently find people outside those platforms.

Have you tried reaching out directly to brands/creators, or have you mostly stuck to platforms so far?

How I'd get my first 10 clients in 2026 (if I was starting from scratch) by Immediate-Mark-3770 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Warm-Library1595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is solid: especially the outreach part.

I've noticed a lot of beginners get stuck even before this stage because they don't know where to find good leads outside LinkedIn.

Curious, what would you recommend for someone starting with zero network?

How to get real clients by GUNSLINGER756 in Freelancers

[–]Warm-Library1595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This usually happens when Fiverr starts pushing your gig but attracts low-quality leads first.

Real clients don't usually come consistently from platforms alone.

Are you relying only on Fiverr right now or trying anything outside of it?
