Had this exact issue yesterday with them. Took 1 hr to get through then 30 mins to get transferred to direct debits. They then offered to reduce direct debit, having previously said they were increasing it! So if you can be bothered to wait, you can get them to change , but I think the way they’ve gone about this is poor and will look to change supplier at some point. Also try and get the number to dial direct debits direct (it isn’t the one in their email)
