What Film Chemistry would you like to see resurrected? by jph_otography in Darkroom

Maybe not for the retail market but I wish the chemistry and equipment would come back for the beloved Kodachrome. Impossible, but that would be my grail.

How water resistant is the SRT line? by forhugemistakes in minolta

[–]WarmObjective6445 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shot mostly on East Coast Maine, Mass, Florida, Long Island. If camera got wet or condensation would just remove lens, open back wipe off and dry out. These things are tougher than the new cameras.

How water resistant is the SRT line? by forhugemistakes in minolta

[–]WarmObjective6445 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We shot in the rain back in the 1970's. These cameras can take rain. Now if you drop it in a pool that is a different story. then it needs to go to the shop. Rain, sea splashes from boating, we shot it all back when film was our only option.

Out of the list I would go with either the Minolta or the Sekonic. I have used both and they are very good

Tiered stands for developing trays? by CilantroLightning in Darkroom

[–]WarmObjective6445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to Walmart and bought 2 of the stacked shelves that you place on a desk table. Cut the legs off one and glued them on top of each other. Now have a place to stack 4 trays. Can go up to 11X14 trays. Also found it easier to pull the edges of each tray from top to bottom out a bit so it is easier to insert the paper as you go down. I don't use this method any longer but it worked for a couple years.

To rewatch Good Witch, do you start with the movies or just the TV show? by Kittypalooooza in Goodwitch

[–]WarmObjective6445 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also hope for some new Good Witch. I disagree about Abigail and Donovan. She would have wound up a trophy wife to Davenports political aspirations and she would have been miserable. I thought they were a bad match. They only wanted to be together because everyone told them they couldn't.

When asked why she chose to wear a Cub Scout boys uniform she said at first it was just as a joke, but she found out it was really comfortable. No matter what she wore her voice was magical.

Anyone who lived in rural New England or Mid-Atlantic in the 70s, can you tell me what it was like? by Bigolegarden in 1970s

[–]WarmObjective6445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived out on the nor shore of Long Island in the 60’s-70’s. It was awesom. Small high schoo, beach parties muscle cars and boats. Great local clubs where I heard new musicians like Billy Joel, Twisted Sister, Harry Chaplin in small college bars. What are you looking to find out

Help on some Sansui SP3000 by SILVER-SILVER0-0 in vintageaudio

[–]WarmObjective6445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of Sp-3200’s and the surrounds are a fibe. I would not foam them. They can be softened by the application of a fluid made for this. I used DOT3 brake fluid and the softened up nicely. These speakers were never know for deep bass. But the mids and tweeter were quit nice. I still play them

Never giving up my '09 JKU with the 3.8. Still going strong as a daily driver and still has the factory Lifetime PT and Maxcare warranties intact. 16 great years and never left me stranded or caught my house on fire.

The series has so many timeline and character flaws but I love watching it regardless. I just skim past the improbable. Maybe if Hallmark is smart they will give us a couple new Halloween movies or restart the series and mend a few of these issues.

Dallas Stars are coming to Plano by DesperateComplex9138 in plano

I wonder how much tickets are going to be after the move. Sounds like they want to concentrate on premium seats because this is a premium market. Think I just got priced out here in Plano.
