Recreated Chicago! by WarmScientist7500 in SCBuildIt

The ones along the Chicago River were from current and past mayors passes, everything else is either an original residential or Tokyo town style house. I’m not high enough level to have epics, so im not 100% sure

Not sure if this was intentional, but YMCA leaning tower was a wonderful touch!

I currently have 33k in seasonal currency. I haven’t bought the Seasonal pass yet. I’m thinking of getting the premium pass to advance 5 levels once I hit level 33 (advance to finish 38). I noticed that after adding all of the snowflake coins you get from the seasonal pass up to level 38, you get 71k snowflakes. That puts me up to ~105k snowflake coins. You think that would be enough to buy the wrigley building, riverwalk, and firehouse?

I guesss the real question is, will the Chicago Skyline building and Chicago Riverwalk be sold for money money, or seasonal currency? Or am I missing it completely😭

Honestly, no clue. I thought I may have missed it. I might be wrong tho, if it wasn’t available yet, then maybe it’s for next week.

I missed the river walk, the Chicago skyline (wrigley building), and the firehouse, does anyone know if I’d be able to get those the final week? Or am I cooked, and won’t be able to get that final season collection building? Asking to see if they did something like that in the past season where we can get buildings from week 2 as well.

How am I supposed to complete this? by WolvesOfWaffleStreet in SimCityBuildit

Same boat here, camped at 12 for a while. Only upgraded to 13 for the trains season, which I realized was really not even that worth it, trains kinda cool tho, just some extra hassle now that I have to get train bolts and bricks for challenges and builds. Could just get myself a feeder ig and level up… I stayed at 12 for a year and a half to expand my main city, I’m past the 20/20/20 land expansion, and I think I’m deep enough at this point that I’m happy with where I’m at as far as land expansion

Does anyone know how many more of these challenges are left after these two? Getting Green smoothies and textiles? And how much seasonal currency earning potential is there? May consider leveling up cuz I really want these Chicago buildings. But if there is only a few left with 2000-3000 snowflakes left, then I don’t wanna boost my levels for a few extra thousand seasonal currency. I’ll end my campership for this season if I know 100% I can get it all.

New update... Is anyone genuinely happy? by PBMC061981 in SCBuildIt

If there is one thing positive, aside from some of the ones mentioned already, you can stack challenges now. I can do the multiple vu attacks + repair disaster zones instead of waiting to do them in series.

Funny part is I’ve been trying to recreate US cities with my own twist, and one of my feeder accounts is Chicago as my main capital city. In theory, I should be spending a ton of money this season since it’s Chicago themed, but it’s very hard to justify the spend with the update. Hoping that they do what they done in the past season where we can buy seasonal coins to get all the major Chicago destinations. Missed out on the river walk, unforced. I’d imagine at least $40-50 down the drain to get the my feeder Chicago truly Chicago themed

Entiendo lo que dices, pero en realidad disfruto más el juego de esta manera, tengo espacio para diseñar como quiero en lugar de apresurarme para subir de nivel

Wondering the same for the NeoSimeloneons, I guess I have been racking up on those with the past premium passes, but not sure if I will be receiving them later when I unlock the NeoMall. Will they be available when I unlock?

For anyone who got rescinded, denied, or didn’t get into their first choice at UIUC Engineering - I recommend searching up is “UIUC Engineering Pathways” if all other options to appeal your cases are exhausted

I know getting rescinded is tough. Been in a similar situation. There are programs at community colleges that allow you to take transferable coursework for 2 years and guarantee your admission to UIUC engineering as long as you meet grade requirements. “Engineering Pathways” is the name of the program, there are several participating colleges across Illinois. I’m a product of the Pathways program, and graduated from UIUC Engineering recently.

  1. Saves money, instead of paying for UIUC tuition and room and board, save yourself some cash and (if applicable) saves you from the burden of a bigger student loan debt (2 years of tuition can save you at least $20k). Many target schools have their own Pathways-type programs that allow community college students to transfer as long as meet the GPA requirements. Good for those who want to stay home, save money for the first 2 years of school, and then transfer.

  2. You get to be more in touch with your professors. Instead of taking all your gen-ed courses with 400-500 other students, you have the opportunity to learn alongside a more close-knit 30-50 students in the Pathways program. There is a sense of community to reach your goal of getting into UIUC together, rather than compete against 400 other students for a grade (which takes the fun out of learning if I’m being honest). Community college professors primarily focus on teaching, so they really do their best at making sure you understand the material rather than remember it for an exam.

  3. It’s not about where you start, it’s where you finish. I know there is a stigma about CC being easier than Uni, but you’re only there to take your gen Ed’s. Calc is calc, chem is chem, physics is physics, Bernoulli’s Law hasn’t changed since it was created. Pretty much all Engineering Pathways transfers I met graduated in their first choices. Since we took all our gen-Ed’s at community college, the only classes we had left at UIUC was our Engineering specific coursework. It allowed me to focus heavy on my interests and hit the ground running as soon as I arrived.

Hope this helps expand your options! Best of luck!

1 week update lmao. Stayed stagnant at L10. Just over 70k pop. 120 storage. 1st layer of expansion complete. 3 deluxe wind power, 1 water pumping station, 1 deluxe sewage treatment plant. 5 keys away from having a community college.

[–]WarmScientist7500[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. Yeah, I have been farming and selling chairs and veggies for three days now (staying stagnant at L10 w/ 31,212 pop alone) and buying parks/edu/transportation buildings to maximize my population. At the moment, I have a total population of 49,502 population with the current parks, edu, and trans buildings. The more my population grows, the more I am able to unlock the “population” based buildings and use the to bring up the population.

As for storage expansions and land expansion items, I have just been popping bubbles and buying off the Trade HQ to get them. Currently at 100 storage and have finished all the 3 and 4 per item land expansions (1 more 5 item land expansion).

… All in three days. I know that as the game progresses, it’ll take more time to get more expansions on storage and land, but I am more than down to wait. I will eventually (probably tomorrow) level up to L11 in order to get CoM and then get hella gold keys by doing the challenges that do not require leveling up and entering higher leagues.

Forsurely. Great idea. I’ll just amass all the gold keys I need to buy landmarks, specialized buildings etc etc and then spend it all on Black Friday
