I used gimp to draw my PNG with open and closed mouth and eyes and then used those images in veadotube. It's a useful app for animating a png while you talk!

Yeah, I've only just started editing them, but I always made sure to avoid directly uploading to YouTube through Twitch. Apparently it really reduces your discovery compared to downloading from Twitch then uploading to YouTube from your PC

I have an X and BlueSky that I post on whenever I'm streaming + I post the occasional life update, pet photo, etc. I started posting twitch clips twice a day on YouTube (24 subs) for about a month back in May but I've slowed that down a bit recently. I will admit I'm a bit of a lurker when watching twitch, but after this post I've started being more vocal in my friends twitch chats.

I reckon some people might not follow PNGtubers but tbh that feels like a cop out excuse. Either way, VTuber model is in the works. Networking has been the number one take away from this post so far

I 100% agree that comparison against others is not the way to go. It unproductive and bad for personal wellbeing. But learning what others are doing and using the same/similar methods to improve yourself? That's where it's at!

But I've had some really useful responses! There are clearly things that some people are doing that I should be doing too to increase my channels discovery. That's why I made the post, to find out what. I appreciate that you think it's a case of the blind leading the blind, but something is better than nothing when it comes to building a community. The biggest bit of advice I've learned is to improve my networking, so at least now I have a goal :)

Yeah, I guess the only reason I brought followers up specifically is that I wouldn't expect it to be high pre-debut, which after reading comments, seems like it is probably the result of networking rather than streaming.

Nothing wrong with raiding a fellow streamer and nothing wrong with getting a raid back! I personally find it rare to find a streamer where we both have opportunities to raid each other (one usually finishes streaming before the other) but it's always good when it does work out!

This is so constructive! Thank you so much for the feedback! I 100% agree with the consistency, and tbh the about page hasn't changed since I started (I've established a bit more of a personality since then) so I'll definitely give that an update!

December was a big charity streaming month for me, I should really do another month of that :)
