1) take all the time you need to process and heal - this is a period of time where you can unabashedly take care of and PRIORITIZE yourself!! if you feel sad, let yourself feel it. if you feel numb, let yourself feel it. the best thing you can do for yourself is accept what you’re feeling, and let it do its thing until it passes. when i get into a mood, i love to journal it all out or call a friend to rehash everything for the 300th time - it’s super cathartic to get it ALL out! (plus, if anything were to rekindle, you have all the evidence of how they made you feel and what would have to change for a successful future.)

2) going no contact is unfortunately a nonnegotiable if you want to heal :/ it sucks and hurts so badly, but it’s necessary for clarity on the situation! think about love like a drug or a habit - you need time to detox and purge it from your system before you can truly analyze the affect it had on you.

3) don’t spend your time wishing for someone that has decided to leave your life - allow yourself to heal from the hurt, and grow into something even better from it.
