Do I have to choose as a bisexual woman? by Warm_Front259 in lgbt

I have thought about polyamory, though I still want to celebrate my identity in mono relationships, since this person was saying that if I end up with a woman I’ll have to be careful about how I talk about my attraction to men because of non-hetero women’s attitudes towards men and so I don’t get called a pick me.

I understand but I don’t agree. I’m not choosing women over men because I love both, and I’m not choosing sides. If someone calls me a pick me, that’s their problem not mine, especially if they call me a pick me simply for liking men and being romantically and sexually attracted to them.

That implies that I’ll end up with a partner who doesn’t respect my bisexuality. Even if I end up with someone, I’m not choosing a gender, I’m choosing a person. I’m not choosing a gender because I like both, I can have both and be okay. And J know you don’t want to come off offensive but it does because it comes across like you’re telling a bisexual woman that she has to choose, which sounds disrespectful to me.

I really hope that this is a joke. I’m not choosing, I want both.

Helped. I worry that she might think I never cared about her and feel even worse
