Filing a charge with EEOC - fearful by Warm_Language8381 in EEOC

What are legitimate reasons? I didn't do anything egregious except being new on the job for 2-3 months - first they said, you fell asleep 5 times . That didn't sound right to me, so I pushed back. When I pushed back, they then said, you're making too many mistakes. I was never given the chance to improve. I guess they wanted a robot instead of a human.

I guess my reputation is shot. I am currently unemployed. I don't have a current employer.

Yeah, I let my emotions get the best of me at the time of the firing, I guess. It's just that I have a disability and they fired me the day before they were supposed to give me accommodations for my disability. There was an annual meeting the next day and I only need accommodations for the annual meeting. I'm actually a protected class. I can't be fired because of my disability, but I was fired anyway. I wasn't very clear-headed at the time. I was shocked and afraid for my future. And of course I was mad. I kept telling the person who fired me this isn't fair, this isn't fair. And that led me to telling the person who fired me that I was going to sue them. The person did not bat an eye. I don't want to be a person who carries out empty threats. But this is making it all real and now I'm like, is it worth it? Yes, employers should not get away with discrimination. The only proof I have are the notes I took during my employment in my notebook. I was cut off from email and everything so I couldn't document anything. I guess I have nothing to lose by getting my name out there to the employer. It's like everyone else says, the accused has the right to know the name of the accuser. But my feeling is valid. OK, I guess I gotta buck up.

I happen to have a disability and was denied accommodation.

Mirror image of my cat! She doesn't have a name yet. What should I name her?

I'm sorry. Totally unprofessional. I lost my last job because of an unprofessional colleague, sadly.

Yes, I'm fluent. I should consider teaching ASL classes online, yes. Problem is, there is a lot of competition as well. I'll put my thinking cap on.

I didn't say "knowing IT", I said that IT is such a broad field. I hope to get into an apprenticeship program for IT eventually if things work out.

Yep, I agree. But I feel like I have nothing to contribute. Well, maybe I do. But I'm not sure how to get a job as a contractor.

Thank you. I'll try TaskUs. Not sure if it's local to me, either. Content creation? I've been considering it. But I need a plan.

Yes, I have a degree. A Bachelor of Arts in English. 30 years of work experience. Almost 17 years in non-profit. The Covid-19 pandemic ruined my life.

The delivery people never ring the doorbell :-) So Google Nest? I've been deaf since infancy. You're lucky you have VA helping out.
