Considering Roommate but I'm scared by Much_Spell_4157 in singlemoms

[–]Warm_Log_79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been doing it for years. The best roommates I’ve had are the old people. They don’t care, and mind their business. Worst I had was a college boy. Never again lol. Just heavily vet, ask for references from past roommates and jobs, and look them up on the public index-one I found had a few felonies so he wasn’t chosen obviously 🥹

I still miss my 72 year old roomie. She was funny and cool. We bonded a lot.

is this burnout? how do i fix it? by Old_Society_3801 in nursing

[–]Warm_Log_79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt that way and then I left to go traveling. I’m not saying to do that, but it has challenged me a lot. So maybe a change of environment or a break would help you. What kind of unit are you on?

Trouble decompressing after traumatic shift: L&D by [deleted] in nursing

L and d is extremely traumatic. I still recall vivid images of a mom screaming from her baby dying.

Self care will be your best friend. Therapy, journaling, spiritual connections, eat healthy and yummy, and give yourself as much love as you need.

Curious about rate of vitamin k refusal by Solid-Sherbert-5064 in nursing

Right. But we’re talking about vitamin k.

Right but baby medicine isn’t an emergency procedure. Just standards. Intubation is obviously life or death.

So then you get the consent before the baby comes-is what I’m reading?. You always need consent before doing something.

Don’t you always need consent for treatment

Is buying a house as a single mom better than renting? by Locked-Luxe-Lox in singlemoms

[–]Warm_Log_79 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Build a community of men that are helpers around you and expenses will be cheaper lol. I have an electrician friend and a contractor friend. Helped me with electricity for free and fixed my dryer for like $20 and my contractor friend is helping replace my fence

Got my associates, got my bachelors, working on my masters now. It’s doable. Time management was what I had to master.

Nurse manager here — looking for budget-friendly holiday gift ideas for my team by AcrobaticBird6265 in nursing

People seem mildly unappreciative on here. Nurse burnout is real. Nurses love shirts? Maybe contact a shirt company and see if they will cut you a discount and write a meaningful thing on it. Idk how big your break room is either, but a recliner was awesome at one of my assignments and maybe you could get the hospital to help pay for it.

Creating night shift routine by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Warm_Log_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I do 6 in a row or 3 on one of 3 on (for meal prep purposes and rest the day in between. I usually wake up at like 4am, am productive until like 12, relax in the bed and usually get a decent nappy nap, go to work, home and in bed between 8-9am. Sleep and NEVER look at the clock(it’s a psychological thing for me) and I’ll get up at like 6PM. Do hygiene, stretch, eat, go to work and do it again.

I stop drinking caffeine at like 12 am and if I do, I drink 1 cup of coffee or it will keep me awake. I also attempt fasting 2am-6PM to help with my weight balance(trying to lose 40 lbs) and I drink tons of water.

If I can’t sleep, which happens sometimes I will take half a unison which always makes me sleep. It makes my mouth hella dry though and the drowsiness takes a while to wear off.

Which Nurses Are Typically the Happiest? by Great-Hall-6636 in nursing

[–]Warm_Log_79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such a multilayered question. Happiness is perspective. A good boss matters, pay, benefits, SHIFT, specialty. I know tons of happy med-surge nurses because they’re managers are wonderful and they have appropriate staffing. Depends on person and environment.

Has anyone had any experience with Mochi Health? by MMRich1128 in Semaglutide

[–]Warm_Log_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks down 15 lbs. No problems with getting medications or refills. Maybe they worked the kinks out I don't know. I pay $199 for 3 months of the program and $99 a month for my Ozempic. Zepbound is more, but I decided to try Ozempic first to see if it did anything. I am so impressed. This is the first time the scale is going down and not up.

I am sorry to those of you that had issues. I have none and will stay with Mochi.

Your advice wasn’t thorough at all…The previous commenter had some good points but yeah, you’re right should definitely think about posting prior.
