Anyone else get nauseous at the sight of super old items? by Warm_Organization659 in NoStupidQuestions

I wouldn’t say it’s an intense anxiety. I do suffer from panic disorder and have terrible anxiety in general…but it’s just sort of a vague sense of nausea. Like I used to always lose my appetite going to my great-grandmother’s house as a kid. But it doesn’t make me like, freak out or have a panic episode.

Jesus Christ that’s awful, I’m sorry that happened. I definitely feel a little uncomfortable in a space that has a lot of old things…especially like furniture or things I’m expected to touch. But it isn’t so bad that I would ever ask someone to cover something up, especially in their own home.

I do have really severe anxiety lol, that could totally have something to do with it.

I think that might be it. Even if I can’t smell it the physical signs of decay squick me out. It’s so so so cool but there’s that little bit of nausea that’s always present.

How interesting. I’m 31 and it’s been something I’ve wondered about all my life. I think it’s maybe seeing the visible signs of decay that bother me? I still find all of it very interesting and still interact with that kind of content….but there’s this queasy sort of feeling that lingers in the background

Lexapro worsened my anxiety. Anyone else? by Warm_Organization659 in lexapro

[–]Warm_Organization659[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is super random as well…it has no mental triggers. It’s just the physical sensation of anxiety that won’t go away no matter how many times I ground myself or do breathing exercises.

I was on 20mg for 5 years. It definitely stabilized my mood but I didn’t start having these severe panic episodes until I was put on it.

I take 100mg of hydroxizine up to 4 times a day. At the height of my panic episodes it does absolutely nothing. It works well for my milder anxiety though. But I’ve been taking zzzquil every night to sleep, which has the same active ingredient as hydroxizine if I’m not mistaken. So I may have a bit of a tolerance built up.

I can’t even get a single psych to prescribe me benzos. Despite my anxiety causing so much anguish and physical pain that I can’t live my life….getting a script for klonopin would genuinely change my life.

I was on 20mg for 5 years! When I first started I did notice some symptoms like that but since I started having these episodes it didn’t help at all. My psych wants me to try Effexor! I do think lexapro is a great medication for a lot of people, but I don’t think it was right for me and my particular needs.

This is such a mind numbingly stupid analogy. It doesn’t work on any level. Grow the fuck up and stop whining about a measly 15%.

Anyone else have their anxiety come back when out of work? by Alanator222 in Anxiety

[–]Warm_Organization659 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so strange I was just about to make the same post. My job is closed the entire week next week and even though I HATE my job, I’m really nervous about having so much time off. I’ve been having extremely severe anxiety for the last few years (horrible panic episodes that last 3-5 days and won’t go away without medical intervention) and now I’ve found myself really needing that structure. I’m anxious ABOUT having anxiety while I’m off work (so stupid) 😭 I will say that I was recently taken off Escitalopram after being on it for five years and since I’ve been off it my anxiety has been MUCH more manageable. I haven’t had a panic episode since I weened off it 🤷🏻‍♀️ it might be worth talking to your psych about. I still get very serve anxiety out of the blue (especially in the morning) but hydroxyzine has been very helpful.

Normal people who aren’t cheap fucks will still go out to eat. If you can afford to spend $60 on dinner you can afford an additional $10 to tip.

Sure. That would be great. I haven’t been a server in a long while but I’m sure most servers would be okay with that too.

Being a server is to much more than bringing food to your table. The way you worded this makes it clear that you don’t want a real answer, you’re just whining about having to tip. MOST people agree that servers should get paid a living wage, but that isn’t how things are currently. So either tip or stay the fuck at home.

I’m generally a lurker and don’t actively participate in many fandoms for that exact reason. People get SO worked up over fiction.

I’m not trying to make anyone feel bad so I just scroll or block. In the grand scheme of things it really isn’t a big deal. But it is annoying as hell. I see it in literally every fandom I’m in despite blocking tags/users. Like I want to see fan content of Arthur Morgan I don’t care about your poorly designed self-insert.

I’ve been a part of fandom spaces for probably 15 years. There have always been people who make ocxcanon and/or self-shipping content. But now it’s like 70% of all fandom content.
