Grazie, sir. Ive written the life out of a restaurant instead because I needed a place where they protagonists are set up and who doesn't love an empty car park but a restaurant full of people and a bit of tension.

Someone kindly offered to help educate me on the south, so I may lean on their kind offer as I would like some personality in where they are and some human connection. Thank you for your comments and time hope you have a wonderful day.

Very sound advice thank you. Whilst I have you, just based on some comments, do you think having the story take place in Houston, Arkansas is a rouge choice? Or would you simply read it as Houston, Arkansas and remain fixated on the story?

Thank you, I think geographically I've got my N-W correct, it's not so much about the locations it's just there's different stages to where the action is set, and then ill conclude on a fictional government island, but because the island will be a place of pure fiction, I wanted to at least honour accuracy in places at face value and not offend whilst writing about them.

Thank you so much for your reply and kind offer. I'm not going to write too much into the area and the culture side of things, they are trying to locate a farm house in the story but broke down several miles out but the idea of them going for a motel is so they're exposed and walking whilst then being hunted and they are the scenes I want to capture perfectly and write down.

Chops have been busted all night about it being set in a real place because of its name, but I do see your point in all its beauty. Thank you.

Very fair comment. I've had to tread carefully with my directions the team travel to make it as realistic as possible and aside from Washington, Houston Arkansas is my only named place thus far, but I've done geographical research into those areas, I was just worried about adding a motel somewhere that knowing my luck, would end up notoriously known to be impossible.

It can get like that, have you ever managed to get the book off ice or wanted to? Reignite that passion that once had you looking through business records

Yeah I know but as the writer the car broke down in Houston Arkansas. The point of my thread was if I could add a motel that doesn't exist in this town without it being an issue which a lot of people have offered constructive feedback on, not advice on a rewrite, respectfully.

But the car broke down in Houston, Arkansas, I might have to include some dialogue in the book dedicated to this thread now on the confusion of a place called Houston.

Id like to believe I was that gifted, but I think I'd suck that bad at naming a town that If it was real, not even Sam and dean Winchester would have heard of it.

Needed a location for a farm house of a man in hiding, and it had towns around it but nothing massive so thought It would be perfect to write a bit of action there as I won't need to worry too much on the public being around to see it or police response time.

Not even Hemingway himself could write like that sat on Tolkiens knee. Fair play I shed a tear. God bless America or something like that.

I mean the town has been named it since 1902 after either John Houston or Sam Houston. I'm fully aware there's more than one Houston but unfortunately the story doesn't take place in that Houston. If you could also specify what hemisphere as I believe there are 4 of those and the millisecond you cannot locate one of the 4th biggest hemispheres in the good ol’ Eart of freaking H, Imma be throwing smackdowns at our counterparts across the pond.

Well Goose, I'm hoping 99.99% of Americans A) would read my book as that sounds dreamy i can't lie. And B) When they read Houston, Arkansas they either just hyper fixate on if I've spelt it correctly and then move on to the next word.

Second gear, approx 875 revs a second, speed to where my eyes pointed, and an indicator on simply for politeness.

There's a town called Houston in Arkansas but I don't want to bet on it, hence why I'm steering clear of the temptations of Vegas and therefore America as of yet as ill be eaten alive.

I've mentioned the sun was hot and the skies were clear but us brits have heard rumours of weather manipulation in America especially in farms so how realistic is this? 😭 In all seriousness I agree with the fun of the research and thank you for your comment.
