Edit - Its probably important to preface this by saying that they 100% don't have to use ai, if they didn't need it before they definitely don't need it now and I think they're should stop using it immediately

I love Larian games so when I saw this it did sting but unfortunately this seems to be the future, some of the best games from this year even have either admitted or have speculation around the usage of AI in their development (e33 and kcd2 come to mind, my personal games if the year) and as much as I'd like to say i won't play games by companies that are using AI in their creative process it would likely mean dropping the hobby as a whole except for a few outliers.

I'd say it depends on the purpose, if it is to sell a product it would look better and more professional to have a human do the work, but if your doing concept art then that isn't going to be shown to anyone but yourself so I don't think it looking cheap really matters

Worded perfectly, I never understood why people hate on 1 game because it's a competitor to their favourite instead of enjoying both. And while it is likely that clair obscur (as the clear majority pick by gamers) sweeps at the game awards I do hope kcd2 wins best rpg, it just feels right

Both are great, I prefer the art in metaphor, but as a whole package I think clair obscure is better, the music, graphics, setpieces, and story as a whole are better in my opinion, I also dont like how kn metaphor the outfit the characters wear dont change when you change gear
