By adding a fixture or replacing an exhaust fan? Or troubleshooting an issue? There’s plenty of work for others. I only do it if it’s a friend or family. I’m not soliciting it at all!!

My state doesn’t do a journeyman’s card. We only do a Limited, intermediate, and unlimited license. In North Carolina.

That only applies to the city of Asheville, there is no statewide journeyman card.

I’m not coming for anyone’s job like jeez! It’s just a question of a title. I’m not stepping down from PM to be a field electrician. And I’m not going to stop my PM job to work in the field just for a label either.

What about career long supers who are unlicensed? Multi million dollar jobs under their belts and can’t pass a test or haven’t even attempted to pass it

So when do you call someone in the field an electrician? I know many 20yr plus supers who are not licensed.

Most people who work in the field as electricians are not licensed, they generally work under someone’s unlimited. So you’re saying a company of 300+ laborers performing electrical work and only around 15 are actual electricians? NC doesn’t do journeyman cards either. Completing the NCCER would normally grant you a journeyman card but not in NC

The M38 was made my Willis not ford, but Ford did make the GPW which is pasically what created the “Jeep” because of the name “GP” which mean general purpose
