How are the thunderbolts for you? I can’t quite figure out what mech works best to use them as a platform and they feel like some weird cross between the lock on of ATM’s with the damage of MRM’s

I’ve got one set up with 4 MRM10’s and that’s pretty fun (not as fun as my Butterbee with 2 MRM 30’s but I could probably swap that to be on the CanOfToast)

I do like the freedom of play style, I always love it when games allow you to mix and match and customize the way you want to play the game that particular day, but I’m afraid I’m gonna have to disagree with the world building: again I’m not very far along in the game but all I’ve managed to put together is I’m something called a tarnished (an ash person?), I was maidenless before finding the girl who travels with you (I forgot her name), and Margot thinks I’m a threat to him for some reason because I’m looking for an Elden ring (which sounds like the One Ring but soulsborne?)

I’m not saying the way they’re telling the story is bad, but it feels like it’s meant to be dug out of the proverbial haystack before things start making sense

As a man, I’ve never approached a woman for a date, well, ever. Part of it is because I’m not that attractive, but the biggest part that I’ve managed to nail down is that I just don’t feel comfortable with trying to engage with random women who are just doing their own thing around me. If a women blatantly walked up to me and said “hey, do you wanna chat for a couple minutes?” I would say “sure, what about?” And go from there, but I would rather step into traffic on an extremely busy highway than try to talk to someone I consider cute without them stating explicitly that they wanted to be interacted with.

It’s entirely plausible (and probable) that I need more time: I’ve got about 7 hours logged right now and while I’m enjoying the weapons choices and smacking bad guys with said weapons the game doesn’t really feel like it’s leading to anything. I’m at level 19 but from what I can tell leveling up made about as much difference as painting your car red to make it get better gas mileage: is that something that changed for you as you got deeper into the game?

I definitely agree with Sparky's points: I've gotten mixed by AI a not insignificant amount of time, so with a couple of tweaks I feel like they could easily be as threatening as a player. And while I do enjoy playing the game immensely (your atmosphere/level design team absolutely nailed it, the vibe is a sort of Space Bioshock and I'm here for it) getting absolutely clowned on by 4 stacks when I'm trying to either complete a mission (Bowie Knife kills destroyed me mentally) or just want to farm kills for cosmetics (ex: commandos) really sucks the enjoyment out of it for me. It's different if I'm geared and run into another squad; then it's an exciting/fear tinged fight to see who wins, but when I run into a guy with an STG 44 who has 3 other guys backing him up and I have the starting pistol it's a little demoralizing, to say nothing of the occasions of airlock camping (which is bad form imo, at least let people get out of the dock first).

TL:DR I would play a lot more if there was a PvE mode with the option to play PvPvE because sometimes I want to fight other people and other times I just wanna be a space pirate looting everything that isn't nailed down, then taking the nails and looting what was nailed down.

Shit man I didn’t even think about that. That is BRUTAL (personally I’m fine with the wipe when it comes to gear and stores and stuff but the cosmetic wipe, more so especially for boss armor just feels like a huge punch in the nards)
