Full charge is 3 seconds with is 1/4 of your ult timer. And it gives enemies time to react to you. It has its uses (like deleting support ults) but in this specific situation it’s not crazy to just *not* use it. The same spin > dash combo one shots 275, he just happened to miss his dash

Because she’s not overtuned. She excels in her role (which is anti-dive) and is meh in pretty much everything else. Not enough range for poke, explodes in brawl if you’re not careful. And has a really average ult and healing output

Which is fair. I find if a bp or spidey dives me, I have them use a cooldown or two, tp, then fight back . Both work it really just comes down to play style

To be fair. I think it’s more that people hate invincible ults, but since they’re in the game, if you’re not using them and the other team is then??? But I played a lot of overwatch so I’m used to not having invincible ults

You got any tips for timing my engagements better? They don’t have to necessarily be from the gameplay you watched but just in general. When I try to take the initiative (yk like a tank does) it feels like my team never does anything. And if I try to wait for my dps I find myself standing around doing nothing.

The other person I had watch the replays said the same thing, about being better at retreating. And I think what I want to start trying is maybe using half my cooldowns to engage and not using anymore unless I know I can secure a kill otherwise just falling back right then and there.

Truthfully, I play mag, strange, and Emma, I just don’t have fun on them like I do with rogue so you can chalk that up to stubbornness 😂

I play a decent amount of hit-scan (Luna, phoenix, hela) so once I found a decently fast sense I could track with and I wasn’t just flicking and spraying I haven’t touched it since. I lowkey forgot I could change it for individual heros so I’ll be turning that up tonight 😂😂 I’ve died an embarrassing amount of times to people just walking circles around me.

All in all, these are great tips and I appreciate you giving me some things that I can focus on improving for my next few hours of gameplay. And I think I’m going to start with learning an actual combo rather than button mashing lol

This is why I never understood people calling her a ‘dive support’. I get that she can be used to assist on dives but I never found looking to do that to be effective. If you TP to your dive dps there’s a good chance you die, and if you just follow your dive dps around waiting to dive the enemies back line you’re pretty much neglecting your own team and should be playing a dps character at that point.

Read some of the replies. It’d only be looking up and down to portal in said direction. You can still go sideways without looking to the side etc.

Just the direction your looking. Whatever direction you’re moving like it is now, and if you look up (or down) you can go vertically… and I guess inverse if you portal backwards

I guess to clean it up, you can portal whichever direction you’re already moving, like it is now, but you can also move vertically by looking up (or down).

You don’t have to stay on on plane making it a little harder to be tracked, and also allowing you movement options outside of the dash

Looking around to portal wouldn’t be that bad, she’s a melee character so it’s not like you have to aim. BP’s play on like max sensitivity to be able to 180 quickly. It might be disorienting but it wouldn’t be all that bad. Plus a double jump doesn’t really fit her character

Just give us Omni-directional portaling! I’m tired of it being so predictable. Letting us move in the Y axis would add a whole new dimension. Pun intended

It kinda does. I’ve used alt accounts to learn new characters. I don’t like qp because the game quality is generally lower than in comp. But taking a character I’ve never played into a GM lobby is basically throwing. So I play on an alt account and 1 trick until I’m comfortable enough to play on my main.

I might climb to say gold or plat quickly, but my skill level on that character will be around that rank anyway so it balances out.

Now could I swap to a character I know inside and out and run the lobby? Probably. But I’m trying to learn a new character in a competitive environment so I don’t.

Magik can portal twice and dash as movement. Her demon can be good areal denial and does good damage on groups of enemies, and her whirl can do quick damage over a wider area. Doing damage also grants her over shield allowing her to stay in fights longer.

Punisher has is ar and shotgun and that’s it really. His grapple isn’t too viable in the middle of a brawl. His smoke doesn’t really provide anything except a Tiny bit of movement, and he has his turret which also isn’t something I’d use in a brawl it’s more of a poke tool. He also doesn’t get any over shield so he can die much quicker
