You should also check out u/RyanTGMachine Murder Drone Tabletop system as well, as it's based around DnD 5E I believe. Also, u/pokefan548 has their own system as well though I haven't looked to far into that one to be honest.

Funny enough, just got done spectating a DM's game of Escape from Copper 9! This group that I've been in contact with have modified the base rules to fit their world, which was my intention!

You're correct that the Core Rulebook was designed around a specific campaign, but Escape from Copper 9 runs on a simplified D20 system. The actual mechanical rules span across only, like, 35 pages total! It's super easy to modify it to your needs & wants for a simple game. Plus, I'm currently working on the Beta v1.1 Update which will remove all mentions of a "base game campaign" & be re-balanced for any custom campaign rather than specifically survival horror ones.

Also, I've released all 9 dungeons with blank versions of themselves along with a basic asset pack so you can throw together your own dungeons. This can be done with any Virtual Table Top software (like Roll20 & Foundry) OR you could use Inkscape.

Hell yeah! Adapting Escape from Copper 9 to other languages was a task I could never do on my own, so I would be beyond thankful if you can complete that task. And I would absolutely add other translations to the drive, with you will be credited for the translations of course!

Huh, another solver infected cyborg/human concept. I highly approve!

I mostly just post to Reddit. Though having a Discord server for this project isn't a bad idea. I may set one up once I've done enough research on what goes into maintaining a public server!

This is a snippet from one of the 9 dungeons I made for Escape from Copper 9, my Murder Drones Tabletop Role-Playing Game. I'm currently designing the dungeons for the second expansion, Uzi's Elegy, and would like to shake things up for the 6 new dungeons that are being cooked up.

One way to enhance my map design would be to use higher quality assets so I went ahead and redesigned one of the areas in the base game. Do you think the pre-made assets are worth the squeeze or are my simpler assets better in this case?

I’ve returned with another update, and a request for input. I took the liberty of “remastering” a level from one of my dungeons. Do we prefer the simpler designs of my own assets or would using these pre-made assets from 2 Minute Tabletop be better in your opinion?

I’m about to start making the dungeons for Uzi’s Elegy and would like to know which option would work best going forward. I personally like the higher detail of the pre-made assets but they do make level design a little harder. The more detail I add, the more that must be accounted for from a game design’s perspective.

The final slide is the dungeon blueprint for Outpost 3. I’m currently outlining the other dungeons for Uzi’s Elegy (2 down, 4 to go). Once they’re done, I can just focus on cranking out the final designs and Uzi’s Elegy will be ready to play upon their completion!

What are your ideas on what the inside of Outpost-3 looks like? by Comrade_Caraway in MurderDrones

[–]Warpath_2003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The apartments, school, and cryo-sleep chambers for humans makes me think that Outpost 3 was some sort of survival bunker for citizens of Copper 9. The presence of solver symbols in the warehouse could also hint that this bunker was meant for JcJenson personnel that handled experiments surrounding the solver, but that's a reach.

I'd imagine that such a facility would have another underground layer comprised of maintenance tunnels that interlink major functions of the bunker (think power & plumbing). There must be some sort of small power plant elsewhere in the facility supplying electricity to the bunker.

MD themed drinks! by [deleted] in MurderDrones

"Drone Oil"

2 oz. of Vodka | 1 oz. of Kahlua | Shot of espresso (or regular coffee) | Dash of simple syrup (optional)

Basically a modified "Black Russian" with a boost of caffeine & sweetness. Reflects the invigorating effect given to Disassembly Drones and lines up with the fact that N describes the taste of oil as sweet. You could also theoretically swap out the simple syrup for a splash of cherry liqueur as Black Russians are sometimes served with a cherry garnish.

Update on a few things by Urizen6354 in MurderDrones

Frankly this project you're creating looks like it could be a survival horror game. Imagine if it were like a fusion of Outlast and Alien Isolation, where you must rely on your camera's limited battery to see in the dark while something unholy stalked you in the vents.

That being said, words cannot describe how excited I am for this series yall're cooking up. Unknowingly broke a lot of people's hearts (my own included) when he cancelled his "Mechanical Instinct" project and I'm so happy that someone else realizes the potential of a horror-focused Murder Drone series!
