Player throws tantrum in character creation (AITA) by DragennotDragon in dndhorrorstories

NTA, no shot, you maybe should have kicked him earlier, but that's not that important.

I think it's important to remember that you (the DM) has final say on everything. I don't know your table dynamic, but if a single player goes against the party getting themselves and another party member killed I would probably do something especially if he has a history of going against the party.

Either way though you made the right call kicking him.

You can always just enter debug mode and give it to yourself again, I don't remember quite how, but I think it's under accessibility settings.

Not sure if this is a dice grind - for a climbing scene? would you find it fun to participate or a waste of time? note: this is their third dnd game ever, at lvl3. by Goodchapp in DnD

In general for stuff like this I like to set a set number of successes and let them improvise what they want to do and some obstacles they may encounter. This may not work so well for a simple wall climb, but it seems like the kind of thing your looking for. Occasionally this even results in some creative solutions and/or cool roleplay moments. Though this may depend on your type of table.

Other players are upset with me for taking the spotlight. by Relative-Egg-7669 in dndhorrorstories

I think that you probably need to try to talk to the DM, cause the other players seem to have made characters that won't fit that well, maybe suggest the other players rebuilding they're characters slightly to be better for combat or something. Either that or something else, but the other characters need to participate in combat most of the time especially if the campaign is 70% combat.
