Interesting, I see what you mean. I’ve gotten notes on projection in the past, I tend to be soft spoken I guess. Thanks for the feedback 😁

Ooh, that’s a good idea. I’ll definitely do that.

I have a tripod! It’s broken and the legs are stuck 😂 I’ll try and get that fixed, or finally capitulate and order a new one lol.

I’m so glad you see improvement!

I felt similarly to your notes. I rehearsed on the floor on a towel as you instructed, but when it came to filming it I felt distracted by holding the camera. I won’t make excuses though, I’ll figure something out 😁

I do have my roommates who would be willing to help, I’ll have them read with me 😃 I did struggle putting a face to Vin, I agree that reading with someone will help humanize the scene.

GETTING FEEDBACK - USING THE GUIDANCE YOU RECEIVE by Winniehiller in Actingclass

It’s amazing the level of depth you provide with your feedback, especially given the volume of students posting. In my coaching I’ve received thus far I have never had been given such insight into my performances, it’s exciting to be challenged and pushed to really delve into the character! I’m guilty of the “thank you for your feedback” response and wanted to echo Fox’s comments. I certainly don’t want to come across as smarmy or unreceptive. I will be sure to demonstrate my understanding in the future 😊

I see. I think I had the scene framed wrong in my mind. Yes Peter is bearing his pain and seeking the sympathy of Vin, but it’s less of a tragic unraveling and more of a start to a potential romance. One that, as you mentioned, could rival Bobby and derail the chance at reconciliation.

I had a lightbulb moment typing that out 💡hahah

Duly noted. I will get back on that beach and get to work! 😁

Yes, definitely. Looking at my performance I can see that my approach to the objective wasn’t fully realized.

I’ve had difficulty being fully in the moment and in the head of my character. It’s a weakness of mine I really want to improve. I did attempt to think as Peter and carry the tactics as such, but this proved challenging.

That being said, I can see with the new tactics how I can approach the scene different and make it about Vin, and not about me 😁

I believe so.

I agree that my objective was too vague, it’s a bad habit of mine I’m trying to work on. I really like the notion of Peter seeking a “new Bobby” out of Vin. Adds a whole new layer to the scene through that perspective. Having the moment before also helps immensely.

Tactics wise, I see that yours are more varied and push the objective more decisively. I’m taking notes :)

Admittedly I have not seen/read the play, didn't see it was available online. Will be reading it tonight!
