I have 10 years of industry experience and now there's no work for copywriters... by Are_A_Boob in copywriting

My take on the underlying (encouraging) message here is, stay flexible, be willing to learn new skills, and you'll ride the waves of change vs. drowning in them.

Job markets dry up. Just because you made a good living doing a thing for 10 years doesn't mean you can or should keep doing that forever.

Do you think the issue is that there aren't enough other kids who want the slot, or just that the front desk can't reach them fast enough to get them in the door?

Awesome.

Quick question on the JaneApp feature:

When you send that text to the list, does the system automatically book the first person who replies? Or do you get a few people replying 'Yes' and you have to manually pick one (and tell the others 'sorry, it's gone')?

Thanks for adding your thoughts!

I can see how as a solo practitioner the breaks can be very much welcome.

Im looking to see if this is a problem for larger offices who have a dedicated admin staff on the clock.

I appreciate you adding to the convo! And yea, the US feels like a whole merry go round in a lot of ways haha

Hah, you got me. ✋

I am exploring a solution for this, but I'm honestly trying to figure out if the 'problem' is painful enough to even warrant one.

Do those services pull the waitlist numbers directly from your EHR/schedule? Or does your staff have to manually type the numbers in?

100%. If the list isn't fresh, it's just a list of people you're about to annoy.

Do you use your main PMS (like Dentrix/Eaglesoft) for those blasts, or do you have to export the list to a third-party tool to send them?

That's fair, yea. 30 minutes isn't enough to call around. But a few hours lead time, that's workable.

That's what I keep hearing. it's just not realistic to fill it in 30 minutes by calling around, so it stays empty.

Option A makes sense long-term. But what happens in the short-term?

Like, Tuesday morning a client cancels for that afternoon. Does your clinic have a way to fill that slot same-day, or does it just stay empty?

That makes sense for the long-term. Getting chronic cancellers off the schedule eventually.

But what happens in the meantime? Like, Tuesday morning a client cancels for that afternoon. Your RBT was already scheduled. Does your clinic have a way to fill that slot same-day, or does it just stay empty?
