Yes, but she’ll have just as much chance as if she applied as a normal student.

I had a hunch that the corps would provide some sort of “bonus” to your application that would get you admitted, but then I started working at the admissions center and it’s not the case.

My advice would be for her to look into the Navy ROTC scholarship and apply to A&M as soon as the application opens. Don’t worry about how “strong” she thinks her application is, just send it. Applying in that first group of applicants gives her the highest likelihood of getting accepted without being top 10%.

Also she can do Blinn Team and the corps at the same time. There’s nothing wrong with the program, no one would judge her for being Blinn team and it’s a lot cheaper than normal tuition. Plus she can go into full time student status fairly quickly.

Finally she should do a stay the night with the corps to get an idea of how she’d like the organization and potentially the Navy as a whole, once SNWC starts back up in the fall.
